22.01.2022 Hockey Carpentry and Construction is now looking for an apprentice who has a keen interest in the carpentry & construction industry. Position Requirements: - I...mmediate start (Mon-Fri, some Sat work may be required) - Pre Apprenticeship completed / 1st or 2nd year apprentice (This is not essential however some form of previous experience will be looked on favourably) - Must have licence and own car - Basic Tools / Tool belt - Be willing to travel if required - Live locally on the Peninsula Essentially we would love to hire someone who has a can-do attitude, an interest in carpentry and who is willing to work hard and learn in a fast paced environment. 15.01.2022 Rough sawn Cypress is very underrated as a finishing timber! The pergola we built with Cypress posts and beams, spantec shade battens and Cypress vertical cladding at the front and rear of the house has added a lot of character to this beautiful home! Another great build by Gilpip Homes VIC Pty Ltd

14.01.2022 Cypress deck built in Mentone! Cypress decking boards are a great option if you like the lighter look, way more durable than treated pine and a lot cheaper than the hardwoods!! We also sanded an old blackbutt deck back and put a rustic stain in the new oil!!

13.01.2022 What a before and after!! Was an absolute pleasure to transform Leanne and Moniques backyard in Aspendale! 70sq/m of beautiful 135mm Blackbutt decking boards, new decking seat and 2 new planter boxes, brand new stairs with Blackbutt treads, a decking platform to make it easier and new hand rails either side with stainless steel wiring!! Just in time for some restrictions to ease and some sun to appear Big thanks to Ash, Leanne and Monique for helping with the painting and staining!

10.01.2022 Been a busy start to the year for us!! This was our first job in Botanic Ridge. Timber frame for a pergola, the owner Matt to do deck and roof himself. Pergola sits on EXTENDA brackets which go through the roof and sit on the inside wall frame and are a great idea if you don’t want to change the pitch of your roof but want to add the extra height to your entertaining area!!

10.01.2022 Stoked with the outcome of this one in sorrento we finished a couple of weeks ago! We got asked to build a communal BBQ area in between 2 cottages 140mm merbau boards with step down at the back, 70mm merbau seat, free standing rough sawn cypress pergola with 70mm merbau screen 3 quarters of the way up, a little merbau shelf on one side and a tin roof on top! Owner also selected a beautiful metal screen we fitted that will rust naturally over time! ... A park bench seat and some lighting to come will make it an amazing area to chill out!

09.01.2022 Front porch upgrade for Nick in Sorrento! Beautiful 140mm Merbau boards with built in steps up to a platform before the entrance, making it much easier to enter the house, and making it much easier on the eye!!

01.01.2022 It was so good they wanted more!! We were asked to extend the last deck we built in Sorrento to the end of the house and build some more decking steps for another access and a removable decking box to hide the aircon! We also built a 15m fence out the back out of ripped down sleepers and used them as vertical fence slats!!
