20.01.2022 The NSW State and Blues started off the U21 Women’s Indoor Nationals this morning. It was a tight match with is being nil all well into the second quarter. The State team ended up winning 5-0. There is a lot of learning for both teams from that match, which will ensure strong performances for the rest of the Tournament. Once again though, it was played in great spirit. See photo below post game.
20.01.2022 Events like this make you smile when it all comes together! A few years in the making, but it was worth it and I am looking forward to supporting the event to make it even better next year. Participation is important at the adult level as much as it is at the junior level, they all compliment each other. A big thanks to Bathurst Hockey, Zeke Newman and the umpires, Cheryl Dollin and the TOs, Briars Men’s and Women’s teams, 15s NSW teams, Johno, PL committee and all the teams for making the event that it was! Great weekend all round and it was great to see so many people enjoying the weekend. Let’s do it all again next year! Have a great season everyone
18.01.2022 U21 State and Blues played a great game this morning to start the National Indoor Tournament. It was 8-3 to the State boys, however the Blue boys were leading at one stage 2-1. The game was played in great spirit and they both represented Hockey NSW is the fashion we expect. Below is a photo post game.
16.01.2022 The final COD Combined session for the MNC Sharks is on today. We just completed the U13s. Soon after the video was taken, the heavens opened up and we all got soaked. The athletes did well to maintain their engagement. It was helped by having NSW Pride, HockeyOne Gold Medalist, Ky Willott passing in his knowledge to the group. They are now all pumped for the Regional Challenge next weekend in Bathurst. The U15s is on this afternoon, the rain looks like it is hanging around
16.01.2022 The U21 Nationals are on this week in Lismore. Here are some vey excited young women at the airport waiting for their flight. The girls will be visiting the U12 Clinic at Ballina on Tuesday after Their final training session, providing advice, having fun and inspiring the next generation. Well done girls and best of luck.
10.01.2022 U18 State and Blues Women has a great contest this morning. Score ended up 5-0 to the State girls. The Blues defended well and missed a couple opportunities. The game was played in a fantasy spirit, credit to the players and the staff

07.01.2022 2021 has begun, but first let’s go back to 2020 to reflect on our 2020 Macquarie Sports Foundation Road trip to the Far South Coast. Our ambassador and former Hockeyroo Kate Hanna joined Paul Schofield and I on the trip and over the 3 days we provided hockey sessions to over 500kids! Thanks to the Macquarie Foundation, we were able to provide the schools and kids in the region Macquarie branded hockey sticks, balls and hats. We value our ongoing partnership with Macquarie Foundation and we look forward to seeing what 2021 brings, keep an eye out...
04.01.2022 The U21 State Womens team attended the Ballina U12 Clinic for a couple hours this afternoon after training pre Nationals. Molly, Adrian and Tristan, with other younger local stars did a fantastic job. They provided a safe, fun, engaging and developmental day for the 20+ children that attended. Well done to the State girls for adding this to your heavy program during such an important fortnight for you all. The children were stoked. Go NSW

We thoroughly enjoy attending these events and providing the students with opportunities to participate in Hockey. It ties in well with our new Inclusion coaches booklet and resources to support Associations, Clubs, Coaches, players and their parents/caters. Watch this space.....a forum will be held on Wednesday 7th April via zoom to share our NEW inclusion resources. A big thanks to Kate Nolan for going along to the day in the absence of our RPC/Hockeyroo Kate Jenner, great work Kate! #SportNSW #HockeyNSW #inclusioninsport
