09.01.2022 Feeling isolated? Contact Hoggies Wine to order some delicious wine. Hoggies Wine was established in 1992 when Gavin and Julie Hogg bought their vineyard and s...tarted their own label. Gavin is well known and respected in the Coonawarra region. Gavin was a senior winemaker for Mildara Blass from 1980 to 1999 and won the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1989. 06.01.2022 Autumn is arguably the most spectacular season of the year in Coonawarra, with bold and brilliant colours lighting the vines along Coonawarra Strip. It’s easy t...o see why this time of the year is a favourite for locals and visitors alike. Note: On behalf of our wine producers we ask that you refrain from walking in our vineyards. #protectourvines Image 1: @ashleighmariah (celebrating post vintage work with a souvenir shot) Image 2: @limestonecoast_viticulture Image 3: Katie Spain

01.01.2022 A selection of some of our favourite pics from Harvest 2019 The 2019 Coonawarra Reds are probably in the top 10 per cent for quality in the past 45 years while the Whites are promising to be in the top 20 per cent, said winemaker Gavin Hogg. A relatively wet Winter, moderately warm Spring, generally a lower yield across most varieties combined with a warm dry Summer. This set up a perfect platform to move into ideal fruit ripening Autumn conditions. ... For the first time in a number of years we actually picked our Reds in late April as we did back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. A welcome return to pre-Climate change years. I'm predicting this Vintage will be a standout in terms of a return, albeit briefly, to the more traditional Coonawarra style of Reds, Cabernet in particular. Elegance, Power, Complexity, Layers and Length will be the outstanding Hallmarks of a memorable Vintage. www.hoggieswine.com Coonawarra
