17.01.2022 Job opportunity- Bovine Embryo Transfer Assistant The team at Holbrook Breeders Australia is searching for our next Bovine Embryo Transfer Assistant! Holbrook Breeders Australia has been operational for more than 30 years and is based in southern NSW. We provide an exciting and expanding range of services to the Australian and international cattle industries. Our range of services include reproduction consultancy, embryo transfer, semen collection, distribution, semen an...d embryo storage and importation and exportation of semen and embryos. For only the 4th time in our long history, has this position been made available. This position would suit someone who is highly organised, can handle pressure, is accurate and precise, and has a strong interest in animal reproduction. The position is full time and is mostly field work. It requires you to have attention to detail, be available to travel frequently, assisting our ET veterinarian across Eastern Australia and occasionally overseas. Common job activities will include preparation for flushing, assisting with flushing, searching and processing embryos under a microscope, and assisting with transferring embryos. All training will be provided to the successful applicant, however a willingness to learn, dedication to the position, moderate computer skills, and a current driver’s license are essential. There is an expectation that the successful applicant will commit to a minimum of two years in this position. Holbrook Breeders has an excellent history with this position, and the opportunity comes along very rarely.
