17.01.2022 On this day 10 years ago we lost one of our most dedicated servants in Bruce "Bruiser" Mackinlay. After a long and fruitful playing career, Bruiser then focused on assisting our club off the field in any way he could. The photo shows him leaning on the bar that is named in his honour. This Brooker legend will always be remembered.

09.01.2022 Vale Leo Mackinlay (24th Dec 1932 16th Sept 2020) It is with sadness that the Holbrook Football Netball Club announces the passing of Leo Mackinlay. Leo was a great servant of the club, as well as the Holbrook community. His service with the club included:... President for 8 years in total 1982 - 1988 & 1992. Committee member of Junior and Senior club for 30 yrs. Life Member of HFNC All four sons George, Robbie, Bruce and Gordon played for Holbrook and all three girls Louise, Jane and Ann played netball. Both Leo’s partners Nano and Jean were also long serving volunteers in the kiosk and great supporters of the club. Leo was president in 1985 when Holbrook won the Tallangatta League premiership with three of his sons George, Robbie and Bruce playing. Leo played an instrumental role in the merging of the junior football and senior football club into one entity in 1981. This was also the year Holbrook entered the Tallangatta League from the Farrer FL. Leo was famous for his war cry at quarter time, half time and three quarter time of We Will Win or C’mon the Brook. Our sincerest condolences to all the Mackinlay family.
