20.01.2022 A pleasant surprise at HMAC's Buy and Sell. Steve Turner and his friend Tina arrived and set up their Live Music show. They were really good. Steve was right on tune with the guitar and Tina's singing was amazing. Such ernest and sincere soulful sounds. They were so good that we have asked them to come along and do some more on December 6th for the Trophy Day. Well done!

19.01.2022 We had some sad news this morning. Well known and much liked SA aeromodelling identity Murray Scott passed away at the age of 80 Years. Murray was a past member of HMAC and held the position of President at one time. He was a prolific builder and flyer. In the early days it would have been control line and then into early RC. I first met Murray at the South Parklands where we flew glider competitions with SSL. Murray later went into Hobby related commercial interests in the field of magazine publishing. He established RCM News. Murray was a familiar sight behind the counter at the stores of Mac's Hobbies and also Model Flight. Murray's other great interests were Motor Racing and Photography. Our sincere sympathy is extended to wife Bev, their children Alexis, Yolanda and their extended families. Thanks to Alexis for the notification.

18.01.2022 Don't forget the Buy and Sell day, next Saturday November 7th. Details in the poster. Forecast looks reasonable. See you there!

17.01.2022 It was a beautiful day at HMAC today. Terry has been flying the Paintstick experimental model again. It flies very well with its KFm foam wing. Some components from the local Hardware Giant. For the story on Kline and Foggleman refer to Flite Test models link below.

16.01.2022 It was a good Buy and Sell day at Holdfast. The weather was a bit threatening but did not deter the crowds of eager buyers from as early as 0800! Thanks to all of the HMAC Members who helped on the day. The raffle was very popular thanks to the magnificent sponsorship by Model Flight. The winner will be drawn at our Annual Trophy Day on Sunday December 6th. There are a few tickets left. See Geoff Haynes for purchase. I noticed a stack of very interesting items including my favourite nostalgia - old kits in boxes! The aroma of the sausage sizzle worked wonders too. I predict that the Buy and Sell format at the field has a great future. Here are a few photos (more to come)

06.01.2022 The perfect Sunday morning was an ideal time to present Bronze Wings to Robin Moore. Rob actually graduated many months ago. Unfortunately we are about to lose him for a while at least. He is heading to Darwin next week to take up a new position in the Health Industry. But he will be back. Best wishes to Robin and his wife in the Top End

05.01.2022 HMAC Member Profile: Mike Mildren AUS971. Mike is an absolute gem. He is a hard working Club Member and ex Committee Member spanning many years in this Club and others. He is often seen on poison cart duty and Pest Control, always working hard on pathways, weeds, stocking the drinks machine and generally tinkering around the field. And he does do a bit of flying when he has time. Mike was a professional at WRE Salisbury for many years and has always been interested in aeromodelling. One of his claims to fame was as a competitor in the Annual Birdman Rally held in Adelaide in 1976. He is an Honorary Life Member of MAAA, MASA and HMAC A rare achievement! Mike is in his 86th year and remarkably fit. Enjoy the photos!

01.01.2022 President Terry Gold was at the field very early on this perfect Sunday morning. He was ready to swing the prop on his Se 5 and set off on Dawn Patrol. Nice photo, Terry.
