21.01.2022 We're used to performing our annual musical to sell-out audiences at the Empire Theatre, but thanks to a global pandemic, our 2020 production looks a little different. There's a new venue, audience capped at 100 per show, and a Covid-safe plan in place. Yet despite the many obstacles, our award-winning choir will FINALLY bring Tarzan: The Musical to the stage this Saturday. If you miss out on seeing the show due to Covid-19 restrictions we apologise, as we would have loved you to see it. CHOOKAS to the cast and crew for tomorrow!

20.01.2022 Sadly, due to the coronavirus epidemic, we have had no choice but to postpone the TCSYC holiday production of Disney's Tarzan at the Empire Theatre in July. We'll continue to monitor the government's social gathering restrictions and are working towards presenting this amazing musical later this year. Trust your heart and let fate decide - it WILL happen. All our love and always #OneFamily, ~The Tarzan Creative Team and Cast x

19.01.2022 The best and worst Disney movies - do you agree with this list?

12.01.2022 Another great news story!

09.01.2022 COVID-19 has closed the curtain on a number of events, but not school holiday rehearsals at the Toowoomba Choral Society. Teens are doing everything it takes to... prepare for their production of ‘Tarzan the Musical’, even if it means practising with cast over a Zoom call. "Even though it's so different we still have so much fun." Report on 7NEWS Toowoomba at 6pm. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS

09.01.2022 2020 has been a crazy year for our Year 12 students, but we love these talented teens and are sooooo glad we’re able to see them perform in one final youth choir musical this Saturday!! All the best to each of them for their future - we know it’ll be amazing!

08.01.2022 Our Tarzan rehearsals look very different than they usually do. Scheduled rehearsals with social distancing and only 20 in the complex. But we are going ahead and making the most of the new normal. This morning we started with our table read. Some cast at choral hall, a lot sitting in zoom.

07.01.2022 MUSICAL FLASHBACK For many years we’ve put on a musical at the Empire Theatre in the June/July holidays. As COVID-19 has forced us to postpone Tarzan until later this year, we’re feeling rather nostalgic this week and have gone back through the photo archives to previous holidays productions. Who remembers this pearl of a show in 2014? If you sea someone you know who was in it, tag ‘em!

07.01.2022 Our awards from the Gold Palm Awards arrived

07.01.2022 This is why we do what we do Yesterday many local children and young adults, as members of the Toowoomba Choral Society Youth Choir, entertained their audience with three excellent performances of the stage musical Tarzan. Congratulations and well done to the cast and crew!!! While the onstage professionalism illustrated a wonderful commitment to their art, the emotional farewell to the senior students reminded us of how much this opportunity means to them. With this in ...mind I would like to thank the volunteers, who each year contribute much time and effort to make it happen, but especially for this year, when it would have been so easy to say no, we are not going ahead, it’s all just too hard. As volunteers, you didn’t cave under pressure. The production team gave guidance with acting, singing, dancing and all that is involved in delivering a successful musical with more than 100 performers. But more importantly, you gave the young cast and crew the opportunity to succeed in the presence of adversity, showed how to adapt when the once open door has been closed and that giving up is not part of making the next forward step. 2020 will be remember for so much more than a great performance of Tarzan. To all the amazing Toowoomba Coral Society Youth Choir volunteers, well done and thank you. See more

06.01.2022 TARZAN THE MUSICAL VENUE CHANGE, TICKETING UPDATE We've had to make some big changes to our production due to current Covid-19 event restrictions. The two shows will still go ahead as planned on Saturday September 26, but sadly, we are unable to continue with our chosen venue of HumeRidge. This week we secured a new venue - the Toowoomba Anglican School Millennium Centre - however, due to the size of the centre, we have limited seats that will only be available for family mem...bers of the cast, crew and band. If you've already purchased tickets for Tarzan, you will be refunded through TryBooking in the next few days. We're looking at creative (and Covid-compliant) ways to enable more people to see the show, so keep an eye on this page for further updates. Thank you for your continued support, we really do appreciate it! The Tarzan team x See more
