18.01.2022 Just a reminder to all my clients to book ahead as far in advance as possible as Erin goes on maternity leave next week so we will have less availability over the next few months. Any one who has pre booked with Erin will have their pets groomed by Beth. We are currently booking out about 3 weeks in advance so please make sure you book ahead so that you dont miss out! Alternatively you can book with one of the other girls who run their own businesses in the salon how ever please remember that they charge their own prices and that VIP pricing is not transferable to the other businesses.

14.01.2022 ***Important notice*** Holistic pets has decided to close its doors until the spread of covid 19 is controlled. Due to these very scary and unprecedented times we will close our doors at close of business Saturday 28th of March 2020 and will reopen as soon as the virus spread is under control as deemed by heath authorities. I am hoping we will only have to close for a short period and together the world can stop the spread and devastation caused by covid 19 Businesses can res...tart but being a chronic asthmatic, if I catch this virus it could be fatal. I understand that many of you have appointments booked in how ever we feel your health and our health is more important at this stage so all appointments past 28/3/20 are cancelled until further notice. 09.01.2022 From September 27th, all matted & neglected coats will be charged a minimum of $150 for single coated dogs and $250 for double coated dogs. The extra time and care needed to ensure a safe groom, cost to replace/ fix/ sharpen our blades and scissors, cleanup costs and time taken to clean and to cover the damage to our minds and bodies is covered in this price. Holistic Pets does not take lightly to neglected dogs as they are damaging to our own emotions and bodies. Groomers ha...ve emotions too and causing pain to an animal to relieve them of neglect causes many psychological problems such as stress and depression. Holding onto a scared dog, breathing their dead skin and bacteria and being attacked by scared dogs in pain causes lasting effects on our bodies such as carpel tunnel and scars. These dogs urinate/ defecate because their coat does not allow them to normally and from their fear. Grooming neglected dogs causes a lasting stress on the salon and groomers which affects all other dogs on that day. Having painful, matted hair pulled and cut off their bodies is traumatising for the dogs. They will never fully heal from the experience. If you do not think regular grooming is necessary, please imagine how the treatment of these animals would be handled if done to a child. It would be considered abuse and the parents would be treated accordingly for their crime. The child would suffer immensely from the neglect. If you are offended by our beliefs, then maybe you have a guilt you do not wish to admit to. There is never an excuse for neglect.

04.01.2022 everything about the spa is relaxing... except for the bill!

04.01.2022 The first photo is Tigers coat after his first bath with us. Even after 4 washes he still had so much compacted coat and dead hair stuck to him. We spent an hour drying and combing him to remove this coat build up. Today he came back for his first 4 weekly visit. He took 50 minutes from start to finish and had no dead skin or compacted coat. Still think cats groom themselves well enough?
