25.01.2022 Laser Phototherapy is a safe and effective treatment for so many canine conditions. It reduces inflammation and promotes healing. If you'd like to know more about laser phototherapy come along to Petstock Ballina's 3rd birthday celebrations. I will be there promoting my canine rehabilitation services .

25.01.2022 Anxious dogs lead to anxious parents (or is it the other way around??). We have a guest at The Golden Paw who was suffering from extreme separation anxiety which was causing us all sorts of anxiety too. The dog had been with us for 6 days and hadn't calmed down much at all. He was being walked twice daily, getting outdoor playtime at regular intervals as well as lots of one on one attention and pat time. Still the dog was howling, all day and night. Suddenly after 7 days ...everything changed. His diet has been changed dramatically here at the Golden Paw, and we are also giving fish oil supplements (as well as our Superboost supplement). If dogs are fed rubbish their behaviour will reflect that. I think it took some time to get the garbage out of his system but now that he is feeling great, this dog's whole personality has changed. It is so rewarding to see the positive changes diet can make in both physical and emotional wellbeing! See more

17.01.2022 People often ask if I treat humans with acupuncture as well. Yes I do, but only people who don't mind having a dog lay on them during their treatment!

15.01.2022 Come along to Goonellabah Veterinary Hospital's 20th birthday celebrations. Bring your dog to enter the pet talent quest and help raise money for Northern Rivers Animal Services and AWL. See you there from 12pm-3pm today!

12.01.2022 And for more challenging cases I require the healing services of two dogs!

11.01.2022 Cats and dogs are extremely sensitive to environmental toxins. They not only absorb your cleaning products through the pads of their feet, they also ingest them through self grooming. We subject our beloved animals to enough toxins with flea and tick control, vaccinations and heartworm prevention. I found this amazing cleaning product that can replace every toxic cleaner in your home and it is safe enough to drink! It's called Thieves Household Cleaner. It is also a fantastic dog shampoo and is especially useful for yeast or fungal skin problems.

08.01.2022 Gorgeous little Jess looking brighter after her treatment today. Jess has been losing a lot of weight and is finding it difficult to eat. Her organs aren't functioning as well as they should. We are trying to give her a bit of help with acupuncture, laser phototherapy and essential oils, and of course tempting her with some high quality, nutrient dense foods. She is such a sweetie!

05.01.2022 I first saw Phoebe about 12 months ago. I had been treating her sporadically for arthritis and general wellbeing. Phoebe was doing ok but then was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (a progressive disease of the spinal cord). Fortunately Phoebe has an amazing mum who decided that she would do everything she could to slow down the progression of the disease. As well as regular acupuncture, massage and laser phototherapy, Phoebe's diet was changed dramatically. Every time I see Phoebe I am amazed at how much younger and healthier she looks, and how much better she smells! I always knew that food was medicine, but Phoebe is a walking advertisement for how important nutrition is for healing from the inside out!

04.01.2022 All greyhounds should be this happy! Help give a retired greyhound a second chance at life by coming along to our community screening of The Ghosts in our Machine on Monday 10th November at 6.30pm. We are raising money for Friends of the Hound - Greyhound Adoption Group. Tickets to the movie are just $15 and everyone who attends the film will have the chance to win a 6 month membership at Edge Fitness Alstonville. We are also raffling a 3 night stay at the stunning Panorama Hinterland retreat. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. And the best news of all, there will be real live, adorable greyhounds at the cinema on the night for you to meet (and possibly adopt!) We look forward to seeing you there!

02.01.2022 This is a chronic lick granuloma. This big guy is trying some laser phototherapy as last resort. This could be a very challenging case but I have 2 weeks to work with him while he stays at the Golden Paw Tregeagle. With the combination of a highly nutritious diet, laser therapy, acupuncture and essential oils I am pretty confident we will see a remarkable improvement!
