22.01.2022 To date, we now have formal confirmation from all states that Myotherapy and Remedial Massage are deemed essential services! These outcomes have occurred as the... result of countless hours of communication and advocacy, and we are very pleased that our combined efforts have achieved an improved standing for remedial massage and myotherapy across the country. 11.01.2022 Here is the latest update from the association. Although this update states that Remedial Massage can recommence in certain States (including Victoria), I am still choosing to err on the side of caution and will wait a little longer before I start massaging again. In the meantime, if you have an urgent need for treatment, please contact me.

04.01.2022 Due to Covid-19, now is probably not a good idea to book a massage, however now is a good time to take care of yourself. Be kind to yourself and to everyone else and stay safe. See you on the flip side and book in a massage when this madness is over!!!

04.01.2022 Time to book one! You won't regret it

04.01.2022 You may be concerned about directions that have been provided by the Government regarding social distancing and services that can and cannot operate at this point in time. After doing a bit of research, the current advice from DHHS Victoria is that ‘spas and massage parlours providing relaxation massages as distinct from therapeutic or remedial massage’ are prohibited. Holistic Bodyworks is a Remedial Massage service and is therefore able to provide services.

03.01.2022 Hello there lovelies I hope everyone has been staying safe and staying home. It has been a challenging time for many of us, especially for those of us who have had to cease working due to the nature of the work we do. Try to use this opportunity to focus on your own health by eating well, going for a walk each day, doing yoga, Tai Chi or even dancing each day. Movement is so important for both our physical and mental well being. Our mental health during these trying times is... so important. Please do not feel like you are alone, and if you are feeling depressed, please try and reach out to someone. I have decided to use this opportunity to get ready for the end of the restrictions by doing some study and getting my home massage room set up. There are still a few things to do, but time is on my side and I am grateful for this opportunity to get set up. Please take care of yourself, nurture yourself, be grateful and look for the silver linings each day. It can be hard to do, but know that it will all end and our lives can resume. I look forward to providing your well needed massage as soon as we can start again. Marion

02.01.2022 Mother’s Day is coming up! Show your love by booking your mum in for a Remedial Massage. Alternatively, you can contact me and arrange a gift certificate to give your mum.

01.01.2022 Welcome to Maz’s weekly muse. In this space I will discuss treatments, self care and products that may or may not help you. Now that you have more time to watch day time TV, some of you may have come across an amazing pain relief product called Pain Erazor. The website makes the following claim. ‘Introducing Upgraded Pain Erazor Pro, the all-new automatic pain relief pen. Pain Erazor Pro provides relief from chronic and acute pain and nearly every stress and strain. This cou...ld be the drug-free pain relief you’ve been looking for!’ The infomercial on TV offers this amazing product with bonuses and more bonuses. Don’t be surprised if a box of steak knives is thrown in too! First of all. This product is supposed to ‘stimulate acupressure points’. The average person does not know what an acupressure point is and they sure as hell would not know how to stimulate it. Secondly, it claims to use Electroanalgesia, yet the device has no electrical current. Electroanalgesia is a form of analgesia, or pain relief, that uses electricity to ease pain such as a TENS machine. Thirdly, it claims to provide instant pain relief for all types of pain including chronic pain. Seriously, you are better off taking a Panadol! Any sign of pain in the body is usually an indication that there is something wrong. You need to see a doctor or other health care professional to determine the source and work on a treatment. I have found a number of reviews about this product, and none of them are good. Have a look at one of the reviews below. Please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Always do your research. Until next time, stay safe, stay home and always be kind, especially to yourself Marion
