18.01.2022 One of the worlds most promising swimmers, Rikako Ikee, was diagnosed with leukaemia two years ago. Treatment was hugely challenging and it was never certain she would return to the sport. A few weeks ago I posted a Tokyo + 1 video where Rikako Ikee walked into the Tokyo Olympic Stadium carrying the Olympic Flame, as a beacon of hope to the world. This weekend she competed for the first time in nearly two years and her outpouring of emotion is clear to be seen. ... Im sure when we can we will all feel a huge sense of relief when we too are able to return to the water. https://swimswam.com/rikako-ikees-eomitional-race-reaction/

14.01.2022 A father said to his daughter You graduated with honors, here is a car I acquired many years ago. It is several years old. But before I give it to you, take it... to the used car showroom and tell them I want to sell it and see how much they offer you." The daughter went to the used car showroom/lot returned to her father and said, They offered me $1,000 because it looks very worn out. The father said, Take it to the pawn shop. The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said, The pawn shop offered $100 because it was a very old car. The father asked his daughter to go to a car club and show them the car. The daughter took the car to the club, returned and told her father, Some people in the club offered $100,000 for it since its a Nissan Skyline R34, an iconic car and sought out after by many. The father said to his daughter, The right place values you the right way, If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you. Never stay in a place where no one sees your value. #ShareToAware

10.01.2022 If you havent been watching Australian Ninja, the final is on tonight and its outstanding. There is very little swimming competition to be seen right now and this is a fantastic replacement. Olivia Vivian became the first female to ever make it through to the Grand Final 2nd stage, when she took it to the men last night in stage 1 and she will run again tonight. Inspiration for all of the family. https://youtu.be/c9Bd76mLCJs

06.01.2022 What would my Mom think of that?" In a race, (see picture), athlete Abel Mutai representing Kenya, was just a few feet from the finish line, but he was confused... with the signage & stopped thinking he had completed the race. The Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez was right behind him & realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didnt know Spanish didnt understand. Then the Spanish pushed him to victory. A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life". The journalist insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didnt let him win, he was going to win". The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him & replied," But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal? What would my Mom think of that?" Values are transmitted from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways & means to WIN
