23.01.2022 Last August Damien McCulloch joined HE at our Training Camp and not long after he came on board as an athlete. He has since adopted a different approach to training and fueling to what he had in the past. Being a busy man with his own business, that keeps him physically active day in day out, as well as a father of 4, Damien has found the holistic principles utilsed in his programming has allowed him to train without excessive fatigue, soreness, injury or illness.... During his build to Gold Coast Marathon, Damien still incorporated swimming and time on the bike as part of his program. 21.01.2022 With my recent return and emergence from the newborn fog I thought it was a perfect time for a re-intro to Coach Katee. You probably know me as Katee Pedicini, which is my maiden name, so more recently known as Katee Gray! What hasn't changed is my love of the ocean, lifting heavy stuff, wine, data analysis and being a hormone nerd: https://www.holisticendurance.com.au/coach-katee/

21.01.2022 Hmmm.... not a bad thing to ponder challenging and exciting... Check out Adam Pedicini from Life Style By Adam Pedicini on Healing Grumpy Athletes podcast to find out how he managed to make his training both challenging and exciting.

20.01.2022 Erm... also slightly speechless. One of my proudest moments as a coach. Not because Alex qualified for Hawaii world champs, because she executed a sensationally flawless race & made some big changes this year to make it possible. Bursting with excitement & pride!! Posted @withrepost @alex_tris_2_runtheworld This #medalmonday was a big one... Im coming home tonight with a lot more than I anticipated when I headed west on Friday... it still hasnt all sunk in yet so until I have more words Im just going to leave this here... #imwa #kona #triathlete #ironman #speechless

15.01.2022 The most raw interview I’ve had the honour of sharing This pivotal podcast was released back in Jan when I was bunkering down prepping for Bodhi’s arrival so I’m yet to share it with the world. I feel now is poignant time to share this story. As the days go on I’m worrying more and more about the mental wellness of those around me, and the world. And particularly new mums. ... If you’re an athlete feeling lost with the unknown and lack of an event to keep you grounded, this is also for you. If you’re a woman who has wondered if their hormones are the driving force behind deteriorating mental health, this is for you. This is for family, friends and colleagues of those struggling with mental illness. It’s also for me. A cathartic release of a very long fight, one that has made me who I am, and I wouldn’t change that. Thank you to everyone who has listened this far and reached out to share the love and your story. We need it more than ever now. We need to be seen, heard and feel connected. Big thank you and gratitude to Jen for being brave enough to have this conversation.

15.01.2022 ** Exciting News** Coach Katee Pedicini has opened up a spot for coaching - the first one in 2018! With comments like this from our athletes.... ... "Holistic Endurance has revolutionised the way I train. Its fantastic to be coached by someone who truly understands, and provides an adaptable program rather than a cookie cutter approach - results-driven, yet personalised!" This spot will go quick! To take advantage of this rare opportunity click on the link below https://www.holisticendurance.com.au/coach-katee/

15.01.2022 ** Ironman in Cairns Wrap Up** Our two IM athletes, Marie & Alex executed flawlessly. This doesn't happen too often in Ironman and we are simply stoked with their results. ... This was Marie's 4th Ironman, and her first words to her coach Katee after crossing the line were "What have you done to me?!". When you PB by ~1.5 hours (a 12:37) there is certainly some shock factor! BUT it didn't happen by accident. We can't wait to share her story and how Marie managed to simultaneously enhance her wellness and performance over the past 6 months. Alex went into her first IM, VERY ready due to nailing her training, recovery & metabolic efficiency. With a history of extensive marathon running under her belt, the big challenge was nailing swim & bike to ensure she could utilise her potential on the run. And that she DID! You know have you have those A goals, that you don't quite say out loud because they would be a dream? Well that is what Alex achieved on Sunday. It was a flawless execution of a well detailed plan, we can't wait to share more of the details of how she pulled off an 11:36 for her first Ironman. **70.3 Athletes** After only starting triathlon earlier this year, Sara progressed through the distances in prep for her first 70.3 quite rapidly with a great sense of eagerness and excitement for this new discovery. Sara set herself up well and was committed and consistent in training. She was also realistic in her race planning and knew that this race would provide her with invaluable experience for all future race. On race day, everything went to plan and came together for a smiling finish! Long time HE athlete and all round legend, Jaimie Lee, went into Cairns feeling the best she ever has before a race. (You can read about her pre race reflection over on our blog.) Jaimie was ticking along super well and feeling VERY strong on the bike- on target for a PB too -, and for the first time, she wasn't dreading the run. Unfortunately at the 64.5km mark of the bike, Jaimie's day was over as she came off her bike. The details are foggy, but Jaimie recalls another competitor riding past and slightly clipping her wheel while she was adjusting her TT bars that had come loose. Thankfully, the injuries she came away with are very recoverable, but it has certainly hit Jaimie's mental resolve after also facing adversity at Busso in Dec. BUT we know Jaimie to be a very strong and positive individual. So watch this space. Courtney participated as part of team, having a swim / bike hit out for some fun as chief cheerleader for the crew and her own PT clients. Her numbers and execution have certainly provided some fuel accelerant to the season ahead! Congratulations to all Cairns competitors. Such a special and memorable event. So the big question is, who is signing up for next year? ;)

14.01.2022 Last year I put together an essential training buddy for you. The Rejuvenation Protocol (RP). I was recently tagged in a bunch of posts with athletes racking up their rejuvenation points with virtual Yoga and legs up the wall, which reminded me to let you know all know that this tool existed! The RP is centred around leaving behind the smash fest mentality that no longer serves the endurance community. ... I formulated it in such a way that if you prefer to keep things simple (paper and pen) you can track + plan your recovery easily. But I've also included a detailed plan of how you track your recovery and match it to your training stress using TrainingPeaks too. Check it out here: https://www.holisticendurance.com.au//the-rejuvenation-pr/

08.01.2022 So last year I was pretty quite on the socials. I was putting my energy into my husbands Ultraman Australia, studying post grad and making a human being! 01.01.2022 A little while ago TrainingPeaks interviewed me, along with other coaches to discuss the limitation of encouraging athlete recovery.
