25.01.2022 COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE for PODIATRY SERVICES!!! Thank you everyone for your patience! As of September 28th (this coming Monday) Podiatry services in Melbourne will be open to seeing a greater range of patients - HOWEVER: there will still be some cases who will need to wait until a later date (estimated to be October 26th).... If you have an appointment over the next month and do not clearly meet the CRITERIA, your Podiatrist will contact you to discuss options for your foot care (including Telehealth services). Please note: You CAN still attend medical appointments even if you live more than 5km away from our clinic, You can use your SMS REMINDER or APPOINTMENT CARD as evidence of your medical appointment, if you are questioned. As per the DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) criteria, we ARE ALLOWED to see patients to: PREVENT foot conditions deteriorating into a worse state (especially where more treatment/s are needed, significant pain occurs or recovery is significantly delayed), ASSESS/DIAGNOSE conditions that were delayed due to Stage 4 Restrictions (where further delay would likely results in deterioration), Provide essential PRE & POST-OPERATIVE care for Elective Surgery. We may NOT be allowed to see some patients who do not meet the above criteria and could safely wait until after October 26th without creating any risk of foot health problems. 20.01.2022 COVID-19 STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE As a result of stage 4 lockdown and new directive from the Department of Health & Human Services, until 13/09/20 we are ONLY able to provide face to face appointments for patients who fit an essential care criteria. If you have an appointment over the next few weeks your Podiatrist will be calling you to discuss all of your options, including Telehealth for our patients requiring a follow up to their treatment plans.... Please remember that that you can attend medical appointments if you live more than 5 km away. You can use you sms reminder as evidence this is where you are going if in the event you are pulled over. Due to these measures we will reduce hours, however we will do our very best to accommodate you during this time. Our Podiatrists and reception team will be available by phone and email anytime, even if it’s just for a chat.
