25.01.2022 'What a liberation to realize that the 'voice in my head' is not who I am. Who am I then? The one who sees that.' Eckhart Tolle

24.01.2022 The college will be closed till the 3rd of February 2019 for the end of year break. Safe and happy holidays to all. As we reach the final days of 2018, take a moment to write down all the things that you are grateful for, for this year. By focusing on the positives of 2018, you will enter 2019 with the same mindset, thus setting the intention of a happy path for the year ahead.

24.01.2022 This year has commenced with a not so nice ‘bang’. Bush fires, coronavirus, personal mishaps and a financial downturn. We are all being affected, directly or indirectly. Some of you might be aware of higher anxiety levels, fear, worry or panic. You might be feeling hyper-vigilant or in a mild state of fight or flight. Being aware of these emotions puts you one step ahead, because you are more likely to take measures to relieve your stress. Stress in itself is not bad. It is o...Continue reading

23.01.2022 There are many talented people who haven't fulfilled their dreams because they over thought it, or they were too cautious, and were unwilling to make the leap of faith. - James Cameron

20.01.2022 If you ever find yourself asking in frustration, 'What am I doing wrong?' The answer might be 'Nothing'. Sometimes life is simply preparing us for the next chapter; and for that to occur some things will take a natural change - such as a decline, a detour, stagnation or what might seem to be never ending obstacles. ... If you feel you've tried everything and it's just not working, then consider flowing with the changes instead. Stop all resistance. Accept. The day will come when the bigger picture will unfold and you'll smile as you understand the 'why'.

19.01.2022 "A goal without a plan is just a wish. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

18.01.2022 Sometimes instead of asking self 'What am I doing wrong?' it can be more helpful to ask: 'What can I do right?' Then follow your own advice.

17.01.2022 I cannot change this but I can refocus. I cannot change you but I can change me. I cannot fight this... but I can declare peace. I cannot control you but I can control me. I cannot forget but I can forgive. I cannot take back but I can look forward. I cannot numb this but I can let myself feel.. ..knowing in time I will heal. https://www.naturalenergies.com.au//relationships-dealing-

16.01.2022 Failure is a stepping stone, not a stopping point

14.01.2022 The only mistake we make in life, is to think that anything was ever a mistake.

13.01.2022 The college will be closed from the 14th of December 2019 to the 2nd of February 2020 for the end of year break. In anticipation of a wonderful 2020, take a moment to think about what you would like for the upcoming year. How would you like to feel?... What type of frame of mind do you want to have? What do you want to achieve, create or experience? What are your hopes for you and your loved ones? Write these down, starting each sentence with 'Thank you for...' Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas and New Year.

09.01.2022 When we truly know ourselves, then our direction in life becomes that much clearer.

09.01.2022 If you are waiting for a sign, this is it.

08.01.2022 One of the things that makes life more pleasurable (and sometimes more bearable) is having something to look forward to. The problem is, that we often focus on the ‘large’ events, goals or items that are a long way away, and this can often lead us to live in the future (and cause time to drag in between). We can prevent this by focusing on the smaller things to look forward to. Those things that we experience in our everyday life. ... How many things can you think of within your day that you look forward to? - Your daily walk or other exercise - The sensation of water in a shower or bath - Any ritual (e.g. a morning coffee/tea) - A smile or hello from a stranger as you go about your day - Spending time in the garden or in nature - Seeing the changes of the seasons - Meditating, praying, practising gratitude, journaling, hobby etc. - Chatting with friends or family - The satisfaction of a completed task - The heart warming feeling you get when you first see a loved one at the end of the working or school day - Food - Relaxing on the couch and letting go - Watching your favourite show - Reading a few pages of a good book - The moment your body hits the bed Take a moment to make a list of all the little things you do in a day that you get satisfaction and enjoyment from. And when you think you’ve finished your list, have another think and see if you can double it.

03.01.2022 ‘What if.’ is one of the tactics your mind uses to create anxiety. o Anxiety causes fear o Fear causes indecision... o Indecision causes stagnancy o Stagnancy causes frustration o Frustration causes despondency o Despondency causes helplessness o Helplessness causes us to feel overwhelmed o Feeling overwhelmed causes anxiety.. ..and we are back to where we started Cut off the cycle by changing ‘What if’ into ‘What is’. In other words, focus on the present the future has yet to happen; and worrying about it is wasting your time, your energy, and your sanity. So let’s change that cycle:- Focus on 'What is'. Acknowledge what is, and accept it - for now. Let acceptance bring you to a space of calm. o Calm creates clarity o Clarity creates decisiveness o Decisiveness creates action o Action creates empowerment o Empowerment creates security o Security creates peace of mind o Peace of mind creates calm And a calm mind, creates a better future

02.01.2022 Practising gratitude during COVID-19 adversity: I am grateful to learn that 3 squares of toilet paper do the same job as 6 squares. - The trees in our world rejoice. I am grateful to learn that with planning I can make use of everything in my fridge before it withers and dies. - Less food wastage. ... I am grateful to re-experience going back to basics and keeping life simple. - Freedom from the ‘more mentality’ I am grateful to be reminded of what is important. - Life is a privilege; Health is paramount. The economy can be resurrected. I am grateful to be reminded that many of my needs are actually just ‘wants’. - The peace of mind of ‘enough’. I am grateful to people all around the world that are choosing to do their bit by self-isolating. - We are not alone, even when we are. I am grateful to see how our younger generation are taking this challenge in their stride. - Our youth are resilient when it matters; and this adversity gives them life skills that will carry on well after COVID-19. I am grateful to Italy for showing us how to be united and strong through the power of song, and grace under fire. - Human spirit at its finest. I am grateful to all health workers. For their courage, their love, their care, their sacrifice. - Earth angels everywhere.

02.01.2022 If you are reading this, then you probably know a good amount about health and try to maintain your well being. But knowing and maintaining your health doesn't mean that you'll prevent bad days. We all have them. It's natural, it's normal and more importantly it's healthy. We are designed to feel a range of emotions. And when we feel bad, it is healthy to acknowledge this and let yourself feel it. Say it out loud 'I feel.....' Let yourself cry, or whinge or wallow. Throw a little tantrum if need be. This is healthy. This is acceptance and presence. It allows your emotions to flow through and out of your body. Keeping a stiff upper lip, pretending that all is well. This is unhealthy. It stores all that negative energy in your body and it builds up till you break down and fall into a rabbit hole.

01.01.2022 You are never on the wrong path. It's just that at times your path may bend, loop, go back and forth. But it is always the right path. You are where you need to be at this moment in time..... ...... and your choices will create the next direction.
