23.01.2022 For those of you who I’ve had the pleasure to visit in the last couple of months will know there will shortly be a new addition to the Holistic Health family. 22.01.2022 These are some fun loving happy doggies... and an amazing trainer. Just look at their tails wag, they love it! Your dogs could do this too. They love to use their amazing brains for more than just sitting in the backyard, chasing a ball or walking on a lead. Even if you don’t want to perform in a show, just teaching your dogs a few tricks is great enrichment for them and a great way to spend positive quality time with your pooches. Happy dogs are healthier dogs and we all want that!

20.01.2022 It's a good question! No doctor or nutritionist in the world would tell you to eat a completely processed diet for your entire life! So what sense does it make that our pets could live their best lives and be totally healthy eating only a processed diet? Heavily processed foods often include: Unhealthy levels of sugar... Artificial ingredients The wrong kinds fat These ingredients might make the food taste good for our furry guys, but too much of them can lead to serious health issues like obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Heavily processed foods also: Lack nutritional value Extreme processing of our furry family's food strips away the basic nutrients of the food leaving it as something that will "fill the void" but not beneficial to nourishing a furry body. Heavily processed foods are also: Calorie dense and can be addicting A highly processed food often contains more calories than we realize and can lead to over indulging on calories while not consuming a good amount of food. The high amount of carbs in traditional processed foods turns to sugar when consumed and our furry family can actually develop an addiction to their sugar-filled foods! Including fresh, whole foods into the diets of our pets provides the same health benefits it does when we include those same healthy, whole foods in our diet! Fresh is always best! Incorporating even 20% fresh food into your pet's bowl will make a huge difference in their overall health! #holistichealthvet #brisbanepets #dogmumsofbrisbane #catmumsofinstagram #therealdogmumsofbrisbane #holisticvet #healthyfood #healthytreats #healthypets #petnutrition #pethealth #petcommunity #petfoodexperts #petexperts #feedthemhealthy #keepthemhealthy #levelupyourbowl #dogs #cats #petnutritionmonth #naturalpethealth

14.01.2022 When you’re mobile your office can be anywhere, even on a boat! . I had the pleasure of visiting 3 gorgeous and cruisey boat cats this weekend. You may think that cats and water don’t mix, but Maddox, Ruby & Lily seemed to be loving the boat life.

14.01.2022 As a holistic vet I get asked all the time about the safety & necessity of vaccinations. We are definitely not anti-vax but believe strongly in RESPONSIBLE vaccination. This is why we offer titre testing prior to any vaccination. Vaccinations come with benefit. They come too with risks which always need to be weighed. We are not anti-vaccination here; we are all for responsible vaccination, but against over-vaccination. We take an integrative approach to healthcare a...nd that means using the tools available to us from all the different boxes and doing so in an informed way. We encourage titer testing on those vaccines for which they are available and can be foregone if titers evidence no need for re-vaccination. https://www.facebook.com/notes/repawsitory/vaccinations-titer-testing/1886147581442210/ *this link is from USA but does provide some good information for you to consider and think about. If your dog or cat is due for vaccination or they may be ‘overdue’, give us a call to book them in for a titre test. They may not need to be given their vaccination. 0730672456 or message us through the socials

13.01.2022 Look what adorable cuteness I get to hang out with during my day . Meet Jeffrey he’s a cheeky 10wk old spoodle pup getting a health check and wellness plan today to ensure he’s on track for good health and well-being as naturally and chemically free as possible. During the consultation we talked about natural diet options, herbal worming and flea control, pros and cons of vaccinations, dental health, behaviour, environmental enrichment and training, grooming, desexing an...d of course just had a fun play and lots of cuddles. Soooo cute! If you have or plan on getting a new furry addition to your family and finding it hard to make heads or tails of all the health options for your pet, book a consultation with us and I will endeavor to clear up any confusion and like we did for Jeffrey, we’ll get your fur baby looking forward to a long life of fantastic health.

08.01.2022 There have been reports of numerous dogs with Parvovirus in our local Logan area. Please double check the vaccination status of your dogs and if in doubt give us a call and we can arrange an appointment to do a titre test. A titre test will look at the level of immunity your dog has against the 3 main diseases covered by the vaccine, which includes Parvo. It will determine if they need a vaccination or are adequately covered. Parvovirus can lay dormant in the soil for many ...months, even years and when conditions are right the spores can become infective again. It is highly infectious and easily spread. So even if your dog does not mix with other dogs or doesn’t go to dog parks and beaches, there is still potential to contract it from your own yard, the footpath or from spores carried into your home on your own shoes and clothes. Parvovirus is life threatening so it is definitely not something that should be ignored. Holistic Health can provide your dog with a titre test & vaccinations if needed. Call or message to make a booking 07 30672456

08.01.2022 Attention all Brisbane Northsiders! Holistic Health is now consulting on a Wednesday every fortnight at The Complete Pet Company in Enoggera. Consultations are done in the Nose Zone, a wonderful relaxed area for dogs and cats to explore different sights, delicious smells and textures. Definitely far from the vibe of a standard vet clinic.... If you are interested in booking in, contact us or The Complete Pet Company.

07.01.2022 After a short time off we are back to business. Our hours have slightly changed for now but our range of services are still the same with one simple addition... telemedicine consultations. Yes that’s right, we now offer consultations over the phone or virtual meeting room at a cost of $72.50 per pet. As you can imagine, this form of vet visit may not be suitable for all patients and conditions. If you are interested, you will first be asked to email us your pets history, a...ny diagnostics test results such as blood test, xrays, photos, current diet plan etc. Once all this has been reviewed by the vet, we will arrange a suitable time for consultation. Email [email protected] This email or our social media is currently the best way to send enquiries in order to get a prompt and detailed response.

04.01.2022 Something to think about... Holistic medicine not only looks at the symptoms but treats the patient as a whole, which often gets to the cause of the illness. Treating the cause, rather than just masking the symptoms will lead to greater health and wellbeing. Holistic Health Mobile Veterinary Care uses this holistic and integrative approach to medicine and has consistently improved the health of pets with illnesses that aren’t responding to western medicine alone. We do t...his using a combination of alternative and natural therapies either in conjunction with conventional treatments or solely on its own in a treatment plan tailored to the individual. If your pet has an illness, allergy or ailment that is not responding to conventional treatment, why not send us a message, email or call 073067 2456. Set your pet on a life long path to good health, rather than long term prescription medicine. www.holistichealthvet.com #therealdogmumsofgoldcoast #therealdogmumsofbrisbane #brisbanepets #goldcoastpets #vet #holistichealthvet #brisbanecats #catsofbrisbane #brisbane #goldcoast #doterraaustralia #acupuncture #chineseherbs #essentialoils #pettunes #naturalvet #holisticvet

02.01.2022 The new addition to the Holistic Health family has finally arrived! With the not so smooth arrival of my baby Tne and the current Covid-19 situation, I have decided to take a few weeks maternity leave to concentrate on recovery and my family in self isolation. After this time I will assess the situation at that time as to whether it is safe for me, my family and my clients if I continue home visits. Veterinarians are classed as an essential service, so we are allowed to ...continue work at this current time, but restrictions are changing daily. I am always available by email and depending on your pets condition and circumstance, phone/Skype consultations can be arranged. Those whose pets are on long term herbal medicines or other medication, I can still provide these via post but please allow enough time before you run out completely. Keep an eye on the online store also as more products will be available over the coming weeks. These days are complicated and hard right now but while we are all focused on human health we must not forget about our fur babies. Although covid19 does not effect them, our interaction with them may have changed, your focus on them may be reduced. Although I’m sure they will all be loving the extra time you’re spending at home . Enjoy this extra bonding time with your pets and remember they are perfect pick me ups and happiness creators and do wonders for your own mental health. Stay well, stay at home and I look forward to caring for your fur babies again very soon.
