13.01.2022 Nothing worse than not being able to sleep Stress can cause insomnia by making it difficult to fall asleep, to stay asleep, and by affecting the quality of your sleep. Stress causes hyperarousal, which can upset the balance between sleep and wakefulness. Sleep is important because it is inherently physically and mentally healing, and it allows for our bodies to not only recoup from the stress of everyday life but also to recharge and refocus. Not getting enough sleep has been... associated with many health risks and places a tremendous burden on virtually every organ system in your body. Lack of adequate sleep influences how we feel, learn, our moods and behaviour; and negatively impacts our cardiovascular health and overall wellbeing. Essential oils have been an amazing tool for me and have been used for thousands of years for their calming and soothing properties that can help relax the body and mind and promote sleep. I diffuse, apply oils to the soles of my feet and use them in my Epson salt baths before bed to help me sleep and stay asleep- My favourites for sleep are Lavender Peace, Bergamot and Cedarwood. I also take 2 of doTERRA's Serenity softgels every night before bed- they are amazing and don't leave you feeling drowsy the next day. I have some great information and tried and tested tips and protocols on how to deal with stress and regain balance in my latest ebook on stress, you can grab it here: http://bit.ly/holleestressebook

11.01.2022 Have you ever tried breathwork? Breathwork that is mindful is a meditation practice that uses simple breathing exercises to improve mental, physical, and spiritual health. It's an active meditation that moves stuck energy, limiting beliefs, and emotional blockages, Breathwork is an incredible practice for stress release," You can learn to control your respiration so it mimics relaxation; the effect, in fact, will be relaxing. The beauty of conscious breathing is that it is fr...ee, easy to learn, can be practiced anywhere, and is one of the most direct tools for creating a different relationship to stress and optimizing well being. In as little as a couple of minutes, you can bring your mind and body into alignment and empower yourself to stay present with whatever you are going through. Sometimes I will use essential oils in my breathwork to receive even more benefits. I love the Easy Air (also known as breathe) blend for this. I have some great information and tried and tested tips and protocols on how to deal with stress and regain balance in my latest ebook on stress, you can grab it here: http://bit.ly/holleestressebook

07.01.2022 That's right nothing better than being present! and leaving all your worries behind

02.01.2022 I often ask myself this question when I'm stressed about something in my life. As we are often hard and more negative when it comes ourselves. I think we all probably need to learn to be more compassionate with ourselves What advice would you give a friend that is stressed out?
