08.01.2022 Malibu Hair & Beauty 63513281 I am finally the owner of my own beautiful salon! Say Hello to Malibu Hair and Beauty. I want to say a huge thank you to Tiarne for allowing me to buy the salon off her. It has been a pleasure working along side her over the last few years. And a huge thank you also needs to be given to the Croucher girls for owning it before her and giving me a job!... With new ownership comes change, and as much as I respect the place I have worked over the last 5 years, I really want to make this place my own little baby and bring my own magic and colour to the space. The most obvious of changes, the name! If you ring us and we answer as Malibu, please know you have the right place, I just felt this new name was my first step in separating myself from the Top to End legacy and edging us in the direction I want to take the business. Over the next few months you will see even more changes as you step into the salon, with renovations to come! Additional services will be coming over time, and new products will be making their way into our little shop as well! Also keep your eye out for any specials on various services that may pop up! Our beautiful staff include Ash Gant, Megan Newstead and Tiarne Roots. My sister Tayla Hunter will be joining the team and bringing new beauty services to you later on down the track. But for now, well let her enjoy her maternity leave, as she is less than 2 weeks off bringing my beautiful niece into the world I cant wait for you all to see and be apart of my little happy place! 04.01.2022 Who would like some simple hair tutorials that you can easily do on yourself or your kids? With Lylaa having such long, thick hair, daily hairstyles are a necessity for us. So I thought why not share them all styles will be able to be simplified or made more creative, simply by deciding how much effort you want to put into it! Lylaa loves dressing up on the daily, so todays hairstyle was inspired by none other than Minnie Mouse! I posted a before picture to show that eve...n as a hairdresser, I too face the morning hassles of my childs bed hair. Because lets be realistic for most of us, putting the hair in braids or securing it before bed is one of those happens if it happens things! Go to the comment section for a speedy video on how we achieved this look. Otherwise follow the instructions that I have posted below Future videos will be slowed down and explained to help you follow along easier Please comment if there are any styles you would like to see a tutorial for! Step 1: Create a small section across the front of the head to braid. Once braided secure with a clip. (If you cant braid or dont want it in your style, simply skip this step. For a more creative look, leave strands out to frame the face. Maybe even curl them!) Step 2: Section the remaining hair down the the centre of the head and create 2 pigtails. Use hairspray to neaten all those fly away hairs! Join your braid into the pigtail. (Be as creative as you like, maybe add in a zigzag part rather than just a straight one.) Step 3: Plait your pigtails and secure with an elastic. (For bigger and more textured buns, fan out your plaits!) Step 4: Using bobby pins, twist your plait around the pigtail, pinning as you go to hold! Step 5: Add clips or headbands if wanted. And now youre good to go! See more
