23.01.2022 There is the whole of yesterday’s hearings (broken down into witness blocks) around Vaping now available on my website: http://www.holliehughes.com.au/about/tobacco-harm-reduction/

22.01.2022 Today in the Senate, I spoke about the hypocrisy to the Income Compliance Program, often referred to as robodebt ... a system that was created by the last Labor government, and the money from it they tried to use to fund their 2019 election promises. The Morrison Government has worked to improve the ICP, to ensure money has been refunded and debts wiped, and it is now being praised by the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

14.01.2022 The Senate Inquiry around Vaping kicks off tomorrow. There have been an overwhelming number of submissions supporting it as an effective smoking cessation tool. Rachel Clun's excellent article in today's The Sydney Morning Herald. https://www.smh.com.au//waiting-to-exhale-ampol-backs-easi

13.01.2022 Press conference from Canberra.

13.01.2022 No wonder Labor’s Joel Fitzgibbon MP had to resign from shadow cabinet. Labor has abandoned blue collar workers - the heart and soul of the Hunter Region. My recent interview with NBN Television.

13.01.2022 My questions today to Senator Linda Reynolds on how the Morrison-McCormack Government is backing and delivering for regional Australia by improving mobile coverage, and strengthening resilience during emergencies.

13.01.2022 It was a pleasure to speak to the senate about the return of Australians stranded overseas since the Covid-19 pandemic began. I thought it was a bit rich for Labor to suggest the Morrison Government is not doing enough when 3 Labor Premiers have had their borders closed. The good news is the flights are flowing.

10.01.2022 Teddy Sheean was an Ordinary Seaman who did an extraordinary thing. Today, 78 years to the day after he gave up this life to save his shipmates, his family was ...presented with the Victoria Cross for Australia, our highest military honour. It was privilege to honour Teddy, his sacrifice and the significance of his actions at today’s investiture ceremony.

09.01.2022 [U=U] Undetectable equals Untransmissible. This means that an HIV-positive person with an Undetectable viral load can not transmit the virus to an HIV-negative partner. Antiretroviral medicines are the key to being Undetectable. 97% of diagnosed Australians are Undetectable.... Today the Morrison Government announced it will provide almost $6.2 million towards the ongoing battle against HIV, and expanded access to antiretrovirals on the PBS, with the goal of virtually eliminating HIV transmission in Australia by 2022. Here I am with my friend Tim Wilson - Federal Liberal Member for Goldstein, the Co-Chair of Parliamentary Friends for Action on HIV/AIDS, Blood Borne Viruses and Sexually Transmitted Infections (HIV/AIDS, BBV and STIs) at last year's breakfast, when we could meet in person. #NowMoreThanEver

06.01.2022 An impassioned speech to finish the week in The Senate ... which even managed a Mean Girls reference!

05.01.2022 #LIVE: Update after today's National Cabinet Meeting

03.01.2022 Always lovely to finish the week speaking with Chris Kenny on The Kenny Report on Sky.

01.01.2022 It's National Recycling Week. My colleague Sussan Ley MP, Minister for the Environment, tested my knowledge ... and showed me the easy way to find the answers. Now if only I'd brought my glasses!
