10.01.2022 Banana Pancakes I LOVE my food so I totally understand when people don’t want to eat primarily chicken and broccoli to reach their goals This is one of my current favourite snacks for afternoon tea. My girls love them too but I don’t want them to have artificial sweeteners so they swap the sugar free syrup for natural jam (St. Dalfour brand). Hope you enjoy! 1) Blend in a food processor 2 eggs, 1 medium banana and 1 heaped tablespoon of plain flour or almond meal. 2) C...ook in a dry pan sprayed with coconut oil for - couple minutes each side. 3) Serve with sugar free syrup and berries. 06.01.2022 Post- exercise soreness 24-72 hours after unaccustomed exercise you will usually experience muscle soreness which is known as DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). This is totally normal and is due to micro-tears within the muscle Some things you can do to ease the pain are: Light exercise such as yoga, stretching, a swim or a walk. Warm epsom salt bath

05.01.2022 Nutrition for fat loss The two most important considerations are: 1 Eat in a calorie deficit. To lose weight you need to consume fewer calories than you burn throughout the day. 2Consume sufficient protein. Aim for 1.4g - 2g per kg/bodyweight a day to help retain muscle. Muscle is an active tissue which boosts your metabolism and gives you a toned look. You don’t want to lose it, just the fat! #fatloss #nutrition

04.01.2022 I have been on holidays in Mandurah and enjoyed a week break from structured exercise I’ve had time to think about my new exercise goals and have decided with a lot of big things going on in my life at the moment I’m going to focus on using exercise to help me feel great rather than focusing mainly on aesthetic goals like I often do. Here’s my super simple exercise goal for my next training block (I always do programs in 4 week blocks): To feel amazing. Probably my most s...imple fitness goal ever but like I said life is a little consuming and full-on at the moment. My weekly training plan will be: 2x full body weights workouts with an emphasis on lower body and abs to look toned and feel strong, confident and capable. 1x spin class to boost my metabolism, burn fat and provide an endorphine high. 1x yoga or Pilates class to feel relaxed and young rather than stiff and old and also to work my core. 1x 30 min walk to boost my mood. I love working with people to come up with plans to help them achieve their goals. Please get in touch if you would like more information about training with me at Goodlife Joondalup. 45 minute training sessions are usually $70 but currently I have a promotion of 3 sessions for $99!
