23.01.2022 Rainy Friday nights need pizza. Decided to be semi good by making it myself. Based on @jamieoliver recipe from 30 min meals: dough - cup and a half of flour, half cup tepid water, glug of olive oil, pinch salt; mix in blender til a dough ball (add more water or flour if needed); roll out on flour covered bench (I used a cup of flour for one pizza) toppings - blend passata with some garlic for tomato base; I used fresh mozzarella; parmesan; salami and crushed fennel seeds;... basil went on fresh after cooking cooking - lay the dough in a flat fry pan (I used a paella pan) over hot stove; add toppings; transfer the pan under a hot grill (careful if plastic handle, will need to stick out of the grill, hence y I changed to the paella pan); takes about 5-10 mins, watch closely so doesnt burn tips - don't make the dough too thick otherwise doesn't cook too well; don't use too much sauce as ends up just a tomato soup on the base (made both mistakes - fortunately melted cheese makes everything tasty). #pizza #cheatdays #quickeasymeals #nomnom See more

12.01.2022 B.O. Known scientifically as bromhidrosis, offensive body odour is unpleasant & antisocial. I struggled with it permeating my sports gear for years. It is cause by bacterial break-down of odourless sweat to form malodorous molecules. These can then be absorbed by our clothes making them stink & are not easily removed with normal cold wash cycles so they stay stinky. Dr Holly’s tips for managing BO:... 05.01.2022 Crunchy tomato salad with avo n mozzarella on toast: Salad... Chop up baby toms (get an interesting mix of colours), coriander, spring onion, chives, fennel stems, baby spinach, snow peas sprouts (basically if green & crunchy - chop n chuck in, other options could be snow peas, celery, basil, mint, rocket, etc.) Dress with good olive oil, splash of balsamic n squeeze of lemon Toast...... Just used a small sour dough roll cut in half (just a supermarket one), toaster in oven, dressed with some good oil (good oil is a MUST but can just get an supermarket too), squished some avo & added mozzarella As all home made, no included salt I dress with a pinch of salt & some pepper. #nomnom #eatyourgreens #eatyourvegies #quickeasymeals #tasty #healthylifestyle #healthy

I hope I can continue to do my part by being a transaware and gender affirming hormone prescribing GP while also continuing to listen and learn from the lived experiences of my patients.
