The bar is open all day and night all weekend long, with lunch also available Friday to Sunday. Bookings still available for lunch 12-4pm today. Unfortunately only very limited late night spots available today and tomorrow as we’re at full capacity.

14.01.2022 Yesterday was a landmark day in our journey as our kitchen passed the council health inspection (with flying colours) and Head Chef Angus Adams and Chef Charlie Ray got to work launching the menu for Fizz and Hop. We had our very first dine in customers enjoying a delicious meal and some tasty tasty beer and wine. This is massive for us as you can see that many hours of work has gone into completely transforming this space from a dirty, old, unusable bakery into a fully fu...nctioning commercial kitchen. 14.01.2022 Look guys, we did a thing. The legends at Tallboy and Moose have brewed our very first Holmes Brew. A Wet Hop 5.7% American Pale Ale made from locally grown Cascade Hops from Ballarat.... These bad boys were meant to be on tap for our opening, but as is the rona way, we opted for cans instead. Get them online or in store from Fizz and Hop!

It’s taken us a lot of investigation to work out it’s a Friday (!?) This is great news...it means we’re open through until 1am with Duchess Kay spinning fun tunes from 9pm!

12.01.2022 Walking into this nearly finished venue each day fills us with pride and excitement for what’s to come. But it’s not until we scroll back through the camera roll to the beginning stages of this project that we are actually reminded of the sheer amount of work that has gone into it. Hours and hours and days and months of blood, sweat and tears (literally) and Holmes is all finally coming together. ... We’re excited to start sharing a few small sneak peeks. 07.01.2022 Drum Roll please. We have a huge announcement. WE. HAVE. AN. OPENING. DATE! We’re a pretty positive bunch and like to find a silver lining in all situations. The forced shut downs back in March were pretty heart breaking for us as they meant we had to ‘close’ this venue we have never actually opened. But we took it in our stride and realised that this situation was giving us nothing but more time to get ready and perfect this space. ... Well, we’re coming out the other side of this pandemic much slower than we went into it but we are more ready than ever to open the doors and welcome you all in. We’re looking forward to having you over very soon, we’re sure you’ll love it because after all... There’s no place like Holmes.

03.01.2022 We have been working so hard to ensure everything is as perfect as possible in your new Holmes away from home over our opening couple of weeks we haven’t even had time to update you on a few important things: Opening Hours: Wednesday and Thursday 5-late, Friday and Saturday 12pm-1am ... and Sunday 12-late. Bookings: While we’re doing our best to accomodate you we are working with a reduced capacity and having to turn many of you away - to avoid this please book ahead via the book now button on our page or message us so we can assist. Menu: Our menu is transient, with cult faves staying on, but other items based on season and market availability. We are a gastro pub-style menu with allergens and dietary requirements kept in mind. We will be sharing and updating our menu publicly when possible.
