The girls fought hard together until the end against a strong Manly side. 24.01.2022 Round 6 2020 Results U19s Division 2 A game where everything came together for our young guns. Womens Division 2 Playing at Gipps Road this week in trying weather conditions our girls were competitive the whole game through. Each week we see the girls improve their skills as individuals and as a team unit. Especially as for some of our ladies its their first season of AFL and they are continuing to learn the game. The scores were tied after the first break. But the ladies lifted from that, utilised the weather to their advantage and ended up winning convincingly. The ladies playing in the backline have been very solid and consistent all year and looking to keep that momentum with the rest of the rounds to come. 22.01.2022 Huge Congratulations to Marcus Pasfield who will play his 100th game for the Goannas this weekend against Penrith Rams. He is an Undefeated Premiership winning coach of our U19s side last year, he is a Grand Finalist himself and a wonderful asset to our Club. Marcus is the ultimate competitor with one of the greatest goal kicking stats, taking out the 2015 U19s Division 2 Leading Goal Kicker and the 2019 Leading Club Kicker award and is on track to take out the 2020 award. Marcus has already shown so much promise in the Blue & Gold and we look forward to his exciting AFL future!

17.01.2022 Round 3 2020 Results U19s Division 2 Played a tough one under lights out at Gore Hill. The boys played hard and fought till the last second. When we convert our chances we will get back in the winners circle.... Womens Division 2 A fast paced game showcased both teams strengths. The girls fought hard and to there credit made it very challenging for Blacktown, however proved to conditioned during the second half. Overall the girls played great footy and learnt a lot for the upcoming weeks. Well done team Womens Division 1 Playing our first away game for the season, once again the ladies showcased a strong performance and executed the game plan. Fantastic achievement with 3 ladies kicking 5+ goals for the game. Everyone should be proud of their efforts! Mens Platinum Division the boys came out firing from the first bounce. We ran out and piled on the score. Playing our best footy of the year. 15.01.2022 Round 9 2020 Results U19s Division 2 Our boys hung tough against the ladder leaders. We lost focus in the middle of the game but came home strong winning the final quarter but it wasnt enough to get the lead. A great sign as we build to finals next week where we should have a full complement back for the Semi Finals.... Womens Division 2 Final round up for the Div 2 girls Had a hard fought game against Pennant Hills Closely fought in early stages, the run and youth of the opposition started to take its toll on our players. The Girls to their credit kept going! Overall the year was great, Well done girls 100% effort in every game Keep learning the great game of AFL Womens Division 1 Toughest game all year we both teams on 8-0 for the season with the last round deciding minor premiership. Intense first half for both teams with the Goannas taking advantage of the first qtr and then Camden clawing back in the 2nd qtr. The ladies accepted the challenge going in the second half and portrayed the strong form that they established all year and taking out the match by 8 goals. MINOR PREMIERS and looking solid leading into the finals series. Mens Platinum Reserve 3 in a row for our Reserves gives us the perfect building block for the finals. We took the lead early and survived the Balmain pressure in the third quarter to cruise home in the 4th. Going into next week if the boys can stay efficient in front of goal we should be in good stead to go for the Grand Final. Mens Platinum Division The final game of the year showed good signs for next season. Again the effort was there all day but skill mistakes past halfway meant we couldnt turn the pressure into scores.

Even with a decent lead against our girls they kept fighting and never gave up. 08.01.2022 Congratulations to Kevin Duong who will play his 50th game for the Goannas this weekend against Southern Power. Kevin first joined the club in the U19s in 2016 playing a couple games up from his 17s side. Kev is the ultimate competitor and competes all day normally against blokes towering over him. He is an undefeated Premiership Captain for our U19s side last year. Someone to wear the blue and gold for many years to come!!!
