22.01.2022 Today some of our students had the privilege of meeting Josh and Ted from the Jarara Indigenous Education Unit. Jarara work closely with Catholic Schools NSW to share culture and help our schools embrace the oldest continuing culture on the planet.

20.01.2022 This morning we held our Primary Swimming Meet for swimmers who can confidently swim 50m or more From this meet we will form a swim team that will represent Holy Cross at the Zone Swimming Carnival early in 2021 Well done to everyone who competed today and did their personal best

20.01.2022 A reminder that all students will need to wear their sports uniforms to school tomorrow, including hats, as we will be engaging in a morning of fun sports activities as part of our Friday Fun days The students will have opportunities to engage in 50m races, soccer penalty shootouts, basketball shooting games, dodgeball, tug-o-war and more

19.01.2022 Today we presented students in Years 4-6 certificates for their participation in the UNSW ICAS assessments. The students results ranged from participation awards all the way through to high distinctions. Congratulations to all students!

18.01.2022 This morning our students are commemorating the final days of Jesus’ life on earth though the Stations of the Cross. At 2:30pm this afternoon we invite our parents to join us on the oval for a re-enactment of these moments led by of Stage 3 students. School gates will open at 2:25pm.

17.01.2022 Our Year 1 students were super proud today when they shared their informative writing books they’ve been working on this this term with their Year 5 friends Well done to Year 5 for providing such great feedback and support to help them with their learning!

16.01.2022 Today our students and staff had the opportunity to say farewell to our beloved Parish Priest Fr John. The students joined Fr John in a liturgy via Zoom before joining him under the COLA for a spread out guard of honour and some brief farewell messages. We sincerely thank Fr John for the way he has led our community over the past six years. His knowledge and guidance for our staff and students during this time has been exceptional. We wish him the absolute best in his new appointment in Katoomba.

15.01.2022 Today our students commemorated Remembrance Day with a liturgy in their classrooms. We remember and consider what has been lost to us through war time but also what has been gained. It is an opportunity to reflect on the values we live by and to recommit ourselves to peace.

15.01.2022 Today our Year 6 students spent the day reflecting on their journey through Primary School and preparing themselves for their upcoming Graduation. Thanks again to the parents who helped cook a sausage sizzle for the students lunch

07.01.2022 Yesterday Year 3 enjoyed a ‘Mad About Science’ workshop to build on the learning they have been doing this term about states of matter The workshop focussed on solids, liquids and gases and explored the relationship between atoms and molecules

The skill level they have demonstrated is fantastic and seeing the smiles on their faces today as they showcase their skills to their peers is awesome. The school looked so different with so many older ladies and gentlemen visiting us today The love and respect that our students have for their grandparents was extremely evident today and we say a huge thank you to all grandparents in our community for everything you do to support your children and grandchildren

The students have enjoyed engaging in this program on a weekly basis and we look forward to the Dance Fever crew coming back to Holy Cross next term for the dance program

01.01.2022 Congratulations to our students and their families who participated in very special Confirmations this weekend. Confirmation, a sacrament of initiation, establishes young adults as full-fledged members of the faith. This sacrament is called Confirmation because the faith given in Baptism is now confirmed and made strong.
