25.01.2022 ST DOMINICS DAY AT HOLY SPIRIT Last Friday, we celebrated St Dominics Feast Day. As Holy Spirit was founded by the Dominican Nuns, this is an important event on our school calendar where we celebrate all that has shaped our school and reflect on Saint Dominic and Christs charity around the world. We began our celebrations with a whole school Mass, led the Year 2 students. We loved having some of the band members leading the school in the final hymn. After the traditional ...sausage sizzle for lunch, it was then time for the Mini- Fete in the afternoon. Students really appreciate having their skills tested by the stalls from our older classes. All money raised is being donated to LifeLink and Caritas and we thank the community for their generosity. Stay tuned for a movie photo montage of our Mini-Fete at 8pm.

11.01.2022 WERE TAKING IT IN OUR STRIDE ON FRIDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2020 Well its that time of year again when our school seriously starts talking about walking! Walk Safely to School Day asks that we all consider our transport habits and try to incorporate more walking as part of a healthy, active way to get around. And although walking all the way to school isnt realistic for many of us, its quite easy to figure out how you can build a walk into your familys daily routine.... You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by: Walking with them the whole way to school If they get the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way. Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids so get planning your own Walk Safely to School Day journey. For more information, visit www.walk.com.au Friday is also St Dominics Day with whole school Mass and an afternoon of fun (free dress day).
