25.01.2022 1CW went on a gingerbread hunt. We had to use iPads and scan the QR code on the gingerbread man. Only one gingerbread had the special code to catch him. We eventually found the right gingerbread man and caught him. The students had a great time!!

22.01.2022 Thankyou for coming along and joining in with our Very Hungry Caterpillar activities this morning. We had so much fun with playdough, painting, block construction, movement, yoga, story time, caterpillar craft and feeding the caterpillar. We hope to see you all again next week.

20.01.2022 ROLL UP ROLL UP to Prep W’s Circus extravaganza! Today we got to be part of a most wonderful event. Prep W performed a spectacular circus. There were scary lions, performing elephants, the cutest dancing girls, the funniest clowns and two big strong men who were very impressive with their weight lifting. Our two ring masters, Judah and Maddy kept the entertainment flowing and the audience mesmerized! Thank you Prep W, Mrs Weston and Mrs Loizou for inviting us to your Circus performance! It was amazing!

18.01.2022 Yesterday we celebrated NAIDOC Day. We started the morning with a welcome parade then followed by a smoking ceremony by our Home Hill Indigenous Ranger Mr James Gaston. Our students had a fantastic morning moving around to different classrooms to engage in different activities. We finished the celebrations with a sausage sizzle and zooper doopers. Its safe to say our students had a great morning. A big thank you must go to all of our staff, the effort which was put into the morning was phenomenal, definitely went above and beyond.

16.01.2022 Amazing NAIDOC Day celebrations. Thank you to all our amazing staff, students and ranger Jim and Ben.

16.01.2022 Our year 1CW and P/1D classes were visited recently by a our local community Fire Fighters! They learned about special identified meeting places, fire alarms and what the fire fighters dress up in. They talked about Get down low and Go Go Go! and Stop Drop and Roll. This week, in a follow up visit they got to see inside the fire engine, look at the equipment, hear alarms, hold the fire hose and hear the lights and sirens. Thank You to our local fire heroes! Our children enjoyed your visit!

15.01.2022 Last week was our last Playgroup for term 3. We had fun painting and creating with NAIDOC themed activities. See you all next term for more playgroup fun. Heres what some of our hatchlings got up to last week...

15.01.2022 We had a fantastic Christmas celebration today at Playgroup. There was Christmas craft and activities, a Christmas play performed for us by the talented year 5S class, chocolate cake and a visit from Santa to end the fantastic morning. This is our last session for 2020. Thankyou to all the parents, carers and daycare mums for attending each week with our Home Hill Hatchlings. We are looking forward to seeing you all next year.

13.01.2022 Step up to Prep starting week 1 of term 4 ... Have you got your child enrolled?

12.01.2022 Today was our last day of our Step Up to Prep Program. Our Pre-Prep students were lucky enough to get clapped into their Initiation Parade by our Senior students, followed with a little welcome speech by our school captains Georgia Howie and Kobi Wright. A massive thank to all of our Step Up to Prep families, we sincerely hope you have all had as much fun as we have. We thank you for allowing us to showcase our amazing school and we look forward in seeing you all in 2021.

11.01.2022 Our final Step Up to Prep will be held tomorrow. And what an end to our program with an Initiation Parade. Thank you must go to all of our Step Up to Prep families for attending and also to our amazing staff who ran the program. We look forward to seeing all of our Preps in 2021.

Our students will be involved in arts and crafts such as face painting, boomerang painting, dot mandala, beading, games, totem painting, flag collage and lastly watching a traditional play by our year 6 indigenous students.
