24.01.2022 As the days have started warming up here in Brisbane, it is imperative that we keep our furballs well hydrated. Whilst some pets drink a lot of water on their own, there are some (like my baby Missy), who just don't like to drink water. So, today, I thought I would share a few ways in which you can coax your pet into drinking more water. 1. Add some broth into it. But make sure it is not a store bought stock cube because that contains a lot of salt which is not great for pets. 2. Broth cubes. Boil a few chicken legs in a litre of water. Add the chicken legs into your pet's meal and freeze the stock in an ice tray. Give it them as many times as you like. The pets love them and it keeps them hydrated too. Let us know what you do to keep your pups hydrated.

23.01.2022 Hello Everyone, my name is Sonika. Ever since I have been a little girl, I have had dogs as pets. After we moved here, we welcomed the most beautiful, timid, elegant and snooty Greyhound called Missy into our home. Even with many years of experience with several dogs, we realised how different Greyhounds were from other breeds. This meant we could not leave Missy with any ordinary pet sitter while we travelled. This is how Home Of Hounds came into existance. As it is, leavi...ng a pet behind is quite daunting, and then leaving your most pampered family member in a kennel can be even harder. I am sure there are some great kennels around, I just could not imagine Missy living in a fancy cage. I've always looked for a home for Missy to stay in where she is in a least stressful environment and has people pampering her in our absence. At Home Of Hounds, this is the kind of treatment your fur baby will receive. They will get a comfy bed/s to snooze on, toys to play with, great food to eat, short or long walks twice a day, lots of cuddles and zoomies in our backyard. All this and more at just $25 per day. Additionally, you will receive an update once or twice a day to ensure you the welfare of your greyt mate. Should an emergency arise, we have a Greyhound savvy vet just 10 minutes away. Feel free to call me, text me or Facebook message me for further details or queries. Ps: In the picture, Missy with her besties Leo and Bess who stayed with us for about three weeks. They had a whale of a time and so did we.

19.01.2022 Wakeup cuddles! As soon as daddy is up, he calls for me and I come running for my early morning cuddles. I am so spoiled.

04.01.2022 Missy and her visitor friend Jockey had a ball today with a good walk, great dinner tons of pats and lots of treats. Missy is making sure that Jockey is comfortable in his new for the next 10 days. Love love and love. #dogsofbrisbane #greyhoundsofbrisbane #sighthounds #gumtreegreys #greyhoundmums #greyhoundsofbrisbane
