Please note that it is not lawful to take deposits or anything other that rent or bond in Tasmania. Please always verify that you are dealing with the agent by making a call before sending any monies. In this current climate we recommend asking a private owner to provide proof of ownership of the property before you pay rent to them. Always be aware that unfortunately scammers are everywhere, especially this time of year!
