15.01.2022 Home Valley Horse and Adventure Park has just had its very own cross country course designed, built and tested! A tremendous amount of effort and work has gone into this facility and its a stunning snapshot of the entire Monaro and South Coast region. Everything on the course has been sourced locally, it fits the landscape and is in its own unique way, is incredibly beautiful. I cant give the boys enough credit for the work theyve done. Whats more, is we all have a bit of... a taste for it now, so if anyone is looking at having a course built, from a few little logs to a mega masterpiece water jump, bump me a PM or message and we will see if we can bring a piece of the Monaro to your cross country paddock. #eventing #crosscountry #beautifulmonaro #equestrian #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #uniquedesign

13.01.2022 This really hits you right in the feels. The statistics of the suicide rate in rural men is staggering. We are working on programs to work with these guys, to take the stigma away from mental health and to bring them together.

13.01.2022 We are extremely proud to officially launch Home Valley Horse and Adventure Park. One thousand acres of stunning and rugged Monaro terrain which has been utilised to carry out some of our upcoming and very exciting projects. First off is the ground are our two community and sport centered programs;... Monaro Equestricare and Monaro Athleticare. Both programs are aimed at the entire Snowy Monaro and South Coast regions. Designed to bring the community together through sports, equestrian and equine therapy, our programs will promote good mental health and build positive relationships, whilst also coaching and mentoring our equestrian and sports teams. More information will be available on these exciting initiatives in the very near future. To add to the excitement, Dig Civil Track and Snow have been through the rolling hills and trails of the property mapping out the new mountain bike track!! Mountain biking is fast becoming of the most popular sports in the world and we plan to be a world class track! Plans are in the works for onsite accommodation on various locations of the farm. With genuinely stunning 360 views over the Monaro Plains, bespoke country farm stays will be available soon! There really is so much to get excited about. We are really proud of what we have achieved and set up and thrilled for the benefits this new venture will bring to the region, but most importantly, the community that calls it home.

12.01.2022 EQUINE THERAPY Since starting South Coast Rural Relief in summer to provide much needed fodder to farmers battling drought and fire conditions, local farmer Ge...orge Walters and a hard-working crew of volunteers have been working on another project in conjunction with the charity, Home Valley Horse and Adventure Park. The aim of this project is to create a facility in the area that can be used by locals and from those further away as a retreat, with advice, activities and experiences aiming to improve the mental health of those who visit. Last Saturday morning at the site, less than 10 minutes drive from Cooma on the Myalla road, the facility was used to run show jumping, equine therapy and to open the cross-country course that has been established on the property. Monaro Family Support Services used the facility on the weekend, with Sydney Horse Exchange instructor Lyndal Yelavich on hand to guide the group through the therapy session. With the main focus of the facility being on mental health, this activity and others will be available to different groups for locals and for those visiting the park and area. 05.01.2022 George and the boys have been hard at it, literally working into the night to have the water jump on the cross country course at Home Valley Home and Adventure Park. Looks like it may go down to the wire but all on track for the Monaro Equestricare Program launch on Saturday!

01.01.2022 The Monaro Equestricare clinic and Equine Assisted learning Program is getting some fabulous coverage this week! The riders in our clinic did an amazing job, as... always, progressing well and with beaming smiles. The Equine Assisted Learning session received outstanding feedback, I was a part of it and I saw firsthand, the positive effects this style of counselling has on its participants. Then I got to send the Unicorn around the Cross country course thats been so beautifully built, and rode a treat. We look forward to building on the facilities at Home Valley to further develop our programs and be the game changers in mental health and community wellbeing for the region. We see our plans growing into a Nationwide venture, from their conception in the hidden gem that is Cooma. Every day, we are a step closer to that goal!
