We can’t wait for this session at the annual conference SLOW STITCHING: EMBRACING SUSTAINABILITY, SIMPLICITY AND YOUR CREATIVE INDIVIDUALITY In this workshop the wonderful Lisa Mattock of ‘Forage Slow Stitching’ will demonstrate the ‘make do and mend’ and ‘waste not, want not’, ethos of yesteryear when reusing and recycling were necessary and admirable. Participants will receive a kit containing a collection of reclaimed fabrics, so...me buttons and Suffolk puffs for embellishment, a stitch guide, and new perle 8 threads from Cottage Garden Threads which are hand dyed by a mother/daughter duo in Victoria to embrace sustainability, simplicity and the individuality of your slow stitching methods. Participants will need to supply a piece of backing fabric (calico or similar weight), pins, needle, scissors.
