10.01.2022 In todays CWD paper this is on the front page!! It is suggesting that more people need access to infrastructure (paths, fresh food outlets etc) as a means to help this issue. Everybody in Orange has access to these things. What people need and don't all have access to is the correct education. Yes, exercise will help but NOT WITHOUT FIXING THE DIET. 08.01.2022 The price of meat, vegetables and fruit are about to increase a lot due to drought and fires. Here are a few tips to think about: DON'T WASTE ANY - only buy what you need, don't buy anymore until all has been consumed, make soup out of stray vegetables REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MEAT PER PERSON - most people eat too much meat anyway, introduce a few meat free meals per week, the reduction in meat consumption is more money to spend on vegetables!... REDUCE PORTION SIZE - if this is an issue use a smaller plate HELP EACH OTHER OUT - share a bulk buy with a couple of other families, swap produce, source local produce rather than buy from supermarkets PRODUCE YOUR OWN - buy chooks, grow what you can Its all been said before BUT this time it will hit the back pocket hard. Many of these involve HEALTH, FITNESS, DIET or all 3! 30 or so years of industry experience has highlighted that a new year is just like "starting Monday" and we all know how that goes..........
