As a Real Estate agency, the restrictions have impacted how we work with our landlords and tenantsnot surprisingly we found it also means that our real estate agents can spark hope through #actsofkindness. #KindnessAlert... Recently, one of our more vulnerable tenants John* was showing signs that he needed a helping hand. John was confused about the restrictions and didn’t know what shops were opened. He didn’t have the confidence to go to the supermarket and because of this he wasn't leaving the house or getting food. That’s when our quick thinking Property Manager Nina, flew into action and contacted an organisation, who within the hour, were able to deliver a much needed food hamper to his door. This will be an ongoing arrangement and it means John has one less thing to think about during these difficult times. 10.01.2022 On Sunday, the Victorian Government released the COVID-19 roadmap which has given us some guidelines for real estate. Private property inspections have been put on hold and are set to return as part of stage 3, by appointment only. Auctions will also take place outdoors with restrictions. The moratorium on evictions, rent relief for eligible tenants and suspension of rental increases has been extended until March 2021.... More guidelines on this can be found on the Consumer Affairs Victoria website.
