17.01.2022 I’ve been so slack at taking photos and posting them since being back at work, it has been HECTIC fixing and tidying everyone up after about 3 months, while only allowing one client (or family) in my little salon at a time (distancing restrictions), as well as all the cleaning and making sure I’m doing everything I can to keep the salon as safe as possible. But I’m loving the transformations! As most people can see I’m terrible at taking photos and usually I just don’t have the time. So if you ever get your hair, waxing, tinting, lashes or tan done by me and you get an awesome selfie that you don’t mind me sharing by all means send it to me please. I love seeing them and I love feedback

16.01.2022 PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU PUT ON YOUR HAIR! And be honest with your colourist so they can take the best action. So just a few weeks ago someone told me about this new wiz bang shampoo and conditioner that is salon quality for fraction on the price being sold in a supermarket. I thought yeah ok I’m not sure how that’s possible but ok, if it is salon quality then FANTASTIC!... the packaging was beautiful and cruelty, SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) and paraben free, bott...les made from recycled plastic I never thought much more about it until tonight, I jumped on Facebook only to find a heap of awful stories from hairdressers just returning to work to find that when applying colour to the hair of clients that had used this specific brand had a dramatic reaction, heating up and worst cases actually melting the hair!!! There are 2 reasons this could happen, chemical reaction (chemicals on the hair from shampoo and chemicals from colour reacting) or silicone build up (definitely possible after even just one use because of the high concentration in this particular product) after doing a bit of research and looking at the ingredients of this product, that long list of heavily concentrated silicone and chemicals I’m not surprised this is happening!!! I am so sorry for the rant but I’m so annoyed products like this are allowed to be sold! Even if you don’t have a colour, silicone buildup will dull you hair, make it become sticky or hard to comb- especially when wet. Not to mention the chemicals you are putting into your skin every time you wash your hair.

14.01.2022 I found this awesome price break down awhile ago (and the prices are fairly close to mine- quite cheap) and thought I would share it as sometimes people may wonder why colour services vary in price so much. While this colour may look really easy and effortless. There is actually a fair bit of work that goes into it so your stylist needs to charge accordingly. The plus side of this colour is it will need less upkeep so less salon visits or just a toner or a few foils and/or ...root colour and in turn not cost as much each visit. Now I need to find a colour correction version on this or make one myself.

12.01.2022 Well with infection control being my first priority, once the gloves are on there’s no time for photos! Inbetween all the hair I did yesterday I got to squeeze in 5 sets of brows (I loved every minute) and only managed 1 before photo thanks @allan_tamara for the after shot

12.01.2022 If only! I typically only wash my hair once or twice a week: Olaplex #3, Shampoo twice or 3x if needed (Lather, rinse repeat). Then condition and leave on while you wash everything else then rinse. TRUST ME the process is worth it!!! ... This week my hair probably needed an extra wash but I have been too busy so Evo dry shampoo has got me through a massive week #mumbunandgettingshitdone #evosaveus

01.01.2022 A little pack I’ve put together my self as we cannot live without this duo in our house! Having a little girl in the house who wakes up with a birds nest on her head. This set saves the tears and saves so much time!!! Im also loving this brush in the salon recently for using on washed long hair and on myself when I’ve gotten out of the shower. It glides through knots like they weren’t even there! Incredible!!! $45 for the set Edit: Only one black brush left!
