24.01.2022 Hello everyone, We hope you are keeping warm and enjoying looking at the snow on our beautiful Mountain! We have lots of winter warmers for you next week. Here are our specials: Salad of the week is Kale & Walnut Pesto Pasta (Vg) Pasta dressed with our home-made vegan pesto.... Soup No 1 is Fennel & Sweet Potato (Vg, GF) Blended, healthy and delicious. Soup No.2 is Roasted Beetroot & Dill (Vg, GF) Smoothly blended with a touch of spice, we keep this one vegan but love it with a good dollop of sour cream. Soup No 3 is Vegetarian Harira (Vg, GF) Our version of the spicy lentil and chickpea traditional soup of Algeria and Morocco. Main of the Week is Red Bean Chilli (Vg, GF) Slow-cooked vegetable and kidney bean chilli. A perfect filling for burritos or simply serve over rice with a dollop of sour cream. Bake of the Week is Pumpkin, Spinach & Lentil Lasagne - Roasted pumpkin, brown lentils and herbs in a tomato sauce layered with fresh ricotta cheese and topped with cheddar. Risotto of the Week is Roasted Winter Vegetable (Can be Vg, is GF) Roasted dutch carrots, parsnip and butternut squash with rosemary and sage. 23.01.2022 Hello everyone, Here are next week's specials: Salad of the week is Cabbage, Apple & Hazelnut (GF) Our 'Sort of Waldorf Salad' which has become a firm favourite at our family gatherings... Soup No 1 is Chickpea, Lentil & Bean (Vg, GF) Finished with spinach, fresh mint and lemon juice this makes a perfect low fat, protein-packed lunch. Soup No.2 is Leek & Potato (GF) The perfect comfort soup for this type of weather. Local Dutch Creams cooked and blended with leeks and finished with cream - delicious! Soup No 3 is Roast Sweet Potato & Capsicum (Vg, GF) Roasted sweet potato and red capsicum blended with herbs, mild spices and coconut milk. Main of the Week is Vegetable Stroganoff (Can be Vg, is GF) Another winter warmer - our vegetarian version of stroganoff made with fresh mushrooms, capsicum, broccoli and tofu. Simply heat up and serve with noodles, pasta or rice. Don’t like tofu? No problem we can leave it out. Soup No 1 is Cream of Celeriac (GF) Local celeriac blended and finished with a dash of cream. Soup No.2 is Potato & Rocket (Vg, GF) Super healthy, blended and tangy. Soup No 1 is Cream of Roasted Swede (Can be Vg, is GF) Local swede roasted then blended with thyme and finished with a dash of cream. Vegan version is also available and we promise it is equally delicious. Soup No.2 is Farmhouse Vegetable (Vg, GF) Chunky vegetables with kidney beans - hearty, healthy and delicious. Soup No 3 is Spinach & Parmesan (GF) Blended spinach finished with Parmesan cheese and a dash of cream - the tastiest way to eat your greens! Salad of the week is Brown Rice Salad (Vg, GF) A delicious brown rice salad with fresh chopped capsicum and spring onion, grated carrot and zucchini, toasted pumpkin, sesame and sunflower seeds plus cashews, all finished with a ginger, lemon, maple syrup and tamari dressing - filling and tasty! Soup No 1 is Broccoli, Apple & Peanut (Vg, GF) A little bit spicy and simply delicious - partially blended for a creamy, yet still chunky texture. 04.01.2022 Kale grows really well in Tasmania so we wanted to share this recipe that we are cooking for deliveries this week. It's really easy and super tasty, so if you have a bunch of kale at home you can give it a try. Chickpea, Kale & Coconut Soup 2 Cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed... 2 Cups of vegetable stock 2 Cups of roughly torn kale leaves 2 Cloves of garlic 1 Can coconut milk 1 TBS curry powder 1 TBS maple syrup 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper Put everything into a blender and puree until completely smooth. Then transfer to a pot on medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring regularly for about 10 minutes. This makes 3 serves of our 500 mil containers - enjoy!

03.01.2022 Hello everyone, We have a fantastic menu for you next week packed with home-grown and local Spring produce. So here are our specials for deliveries on Thursday, 12th November: Salad No. 1 is Green Bean & Potato (Can be Vg, is GF) New season Pink Eyes and beans with feta cheese and Kalamata olives dressed with a Dijon vinaigrette. (Feta can be left out for a vegan version).... Salad No. 2 is Thai Noodle (Vg, GF) Rice noodles and fresh vegetables dressed in our home-made spicy peanut satay dressing. Soup No.1 is Cream of Roasted Swede (Can be Vg, is GF) Roasted swede with thyme, blended and finished with a dash of cream. (Vegan version available). Soup No. 2 is Italian Spinach & Risoni (Vg) A chunky tomato based soup packed with fresh herbs and spinach from our garden. Main of the Week is Vegetable Stroganoff (Can be Vg, is GF) Our vegetarian version of stroganoff made with fresh mushrooms, capsicum, broccoli and tofu. Simply heat up and serve with noodles, pasta or rice. Tofu can be left out. We can also make this vegan with our home-made vegan sour cream (Home-made vegan sour cream is made with nuts and soy). So here are next week's specials: Salad of the week is Israeli Couscous (Can be Vg) Large couscous with smoked paprika, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, roasted capsicum, fresh herbs, feta and almonds (Vegan version available, please specify when ordering. We can also leave out the nuts for allergies if you le...t us know). Soup No.1 is Chickpea, Kale & Coconut (Vg, GF) Home-grown kale and chickpeas - this soup is smooth, spicy and filling. Soup No. 2 is Green Minestrone (Vg, GF) Super healthy green soup (broccoli, celery, parsley) finished with our vegan mint and cashew pesto. Soup No. 3 is Roasted Pumpkin, Carrot & Orange (Vg, GF) Roasted pumpkin and carrots blended and finished with fresh orange juice and a touch of fresh grated nutmeg. Main of the Week is Yellow Thai Curry (Vg, GF) We blend the freshest of ingredients to make our curry paste then simmer potatoes, sweet potatoes and pan-fried tofu in coconut milk. 01.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has hit the 'sign up' button on our Page recently. All the details on how to order are on our menu/order form which you will receive on Fridays. For those of you asking here is a brief run down: Salads come in two sizes - regular (approx 350 grams) and large (approx 700 grams). They are $7 and $14 respectively.... Soups are one size (approx 500 mils) and are $7 each. Mains are also one size (approx 650 - 750 grams). They serve one if you are a big eater or two when you add rice/pasta/grains etc. They are $14 each. The minimum order for home delivery is $40. There is no minimum order to pick up from us in Moonah. Orders need to be in by Midday on Mondays for deliveries/pick ups on Thursday afternoons.
