21.01.2022 The second print run is nearly half sold. It’s likely to be the last, so if you’d like to buy a book, let me know. They are also for sale at the Nimbin Gallery next to the town hall.
14.01.2022 The book is back...and is available at the Nimbin Artists Gallery (next to the hall) the Hemp Embassy and at 7 SibleyStreet (Mon, Tues). It may also be available soon at theNimbin Environment Centre. Another $1,000 has been donated to the 7 Sibley Street project thanks to all who bought a book from the previous print run.
13.01.2022 Because of the current pandemic, it’s likely to be hard to buy a copy except online at www.nimbinhomes.com.au As soon as life returns to normal, they will be available at 7 Sibley Street, Nimbin Artists Gallery, Hemp Embassy and Nimbin Environment Centre. For locals wanting avoid paying postage costs, send me a message and I’ll see what I can do. Stay safe everyone.
04.01.2022 SOLD OUT! NEW PRINT RUN COMING. Thank you to everyone who bought one. The last months have been difficult for me, but because of the positive feedback and continuing interest I’ve ordered another hundred. They should be available within a month, probably less. The 50% of profit donated to 7 Sibley Street will go into their account this week.
02.01.2022 There's been a lot of positive feedback about the beauty and creativity of the homes featured. These homes are the end result of a lot of hard work, and the people who built them lived onsite in a variety of temporary shelters with few amenities. The picture below is typical of the owner building experience in this area.. The following comment, sent to me by a woman at the beginning of the journey, meant a lot to me as part of my reason for writing the book was to show that ordinary people can build their own home. "On page 91 and absolutely loving your book. It reminds me to keep going and not lose hope. Reading the book makes me really aware what a rite of passage living on the land rough and building a home is, and how many have done it before."
02.01.2022 The second print run is sold out ( except for maybe a couple left at the gallery). Because the last six months have been a stressful and exhausting time, I can’t see myself doing another print run in the foreseeable future. Thank you to everyone who bought a copy and supported me in other ways, and especially to those who opened their homes. When I know that the last copy has been sold, I’ll do the final total of the amount donated to 7 Sibley Street.
