20.01.2022 For the first time in a LONG time, our studies are on their way to resembling a study! I have unearthed my sewing machine, I have a clear space for the computer and printer and found so many things I had thought lost. But...with each piece that is sorted; I feel sad! We are really going to miss you all!

16.01.2022 My little man said to me today that he couldnt decide whether to grow up and be a tall apple tree so he could feed anybody that was hungry OR a tall Daddy that tickles his kids! It got me thinking...I always wanted to be a doctor, but became a Kindergarten Teacher...is your current profession what you always wanted to be?

14.01.2022 Well...2 hours later I just finished making 25 ghosts for a fun Halloween party tomorrow...chocolate royale biscuits covered in white chocolate with chocolate buds for the eyes - story stones and alphabet stones are so much easier and kinder on the waistline! Is anybody else up to much for Halloween tomorrow?

Whilst I have not finalised ideas for my children I am very excited that the shopping and choosing for the educators at my daughters Kinder are done! With a special thanks to Minutiae....beautiful hand made pieces all with their own identity....LOVE!

11.01.2022 With most of our bits and pieces now on their way to new homes...Michelle skipped off for a holiday but Janine has been experimenting with some new Story Stones! We have just over a month to go until we finish up but we still have plenty to show you :) We will keep you updated as to when these are ready for sale!

08.01.2022 Tonight we will be taking pre-orders for our new alphabet stones. They are $40 per set and this includes the entire upper and lower case alphabet. We have used natural stones so they are all different shapes, sizes and tones; adding an incredible sensory appeal. You may also wish to consider our $10 extras pack, that has lower case vowels plus the 5 most common consonants; l,n,r,s,t. If you have a group of children that are showing some interest in early literacy and/or have little people in your life that are embarking on the world of formalized learning at school (as our children are) these could make a great addition to your play spaces! 08.01.2022 Its been a busy long weekend for us both...our studies are sorted and almost our sheds...keep your eyes on the page for an announcement of when our HUGE sale will be!

07.01.2022 It is with mixed emotions that Janine and I are announcing the final chapter of Homemade Rainbows. We have had the most wonderful adventure in building this little business, creating inspiring imaginative play sets and of course; getting to know many of our wonderful Facebook likers. Over the next few weeks we will be selling lots of bits and pieces with our final day being December 31st when our Facebook page will close. Whilst we feel incredibly sad to say goodbye we are ...also excited about what the New Year and those ahead may bring and the extra time we will have to spend with our families. Thank you so very much to all of you for your ongoing support; we look forward to a fun next few weeks as we unearth many of our treasures that will be looking for a new home! 03.01.2022 Our dolls house had been a little neglected lately. Last week I added some story stones in a basket....and voila....love watching how the dolls house becomes a scene for re-enactment of the story :)
