New growth will be vulnerable. Watering is best in the cool of the day - morning and evening, but if you plant is looking stressed with drooping leaves, water then, don't wait. 10.01.2022 Di Hall from Newmans Nursery joins us with the camellia of the month for June 2020 Announcing! Camellia japonica Brushfield’s Beau, it has one of the most desi...rable growth habits of any Camellia. Its compact bushy upright growth hardly ever needs trimming or shaping and will suit all garden situations. In particular it is an ideal pot plant, very leafy with rich glossy green slightly twisted foliage. Its stocky rigid branches support the flowers beautifully, this sees the flower sit up and look straight at you. Very few Camellias hold their flowers in such an attractive fashion. Brushfield’s Beau flowers are a classic double centre (anemone) form, the flowers are medium sized and are borne in profusion. Brushfield’s Beau’s flowers are heavily splashed and striped several shades of pink on a subdued white back ground. Towards the anemone centre there is a apricot hue. This is a Camellia we at Newman’s Nursery are very excited about and highly recommend it to all Adelaide’s gardeners. See more

02.01.2022 My third piece in the Vector series - Swirl The last in this collection it was the most demanding of my attention and effort to maintain the meticulous level of... continuity of each individual piece of rod. The shape pulls in so many directions its final form is deceivingly simple, like a brush stroke on a canvas. The final structure is fully galvanised to not only protect from the elements it also enhances the transparency and luminous intensity. I wanted to create impact moments that also invited you to take a seat and pause within the surroundings of the sculpture.
