25.01.2022 Focus on: Newgrange County Meath Newgrange is a Stone Age monument in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, It was built about 3200 BC during the Neolithic period, which makes it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Newgrange is a large circular mound with a stone passageway and chambers inside. The mound is ringed by 'kerbstones' engraved with artwork. Archaeologists classified Newgrange as a passage tomb, however Newgrange is now recognised to be much more than a passage tomb. Ancient Temple is a more fitting classification, a place of astrological, spiritual, religious and ceremonial importance. A fantastic place to visit in the future , as it's a major part of ancient Irish history. Discover Ireland

20.01.2022 Sunset at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. Balmoral Castle is owned by Queen Elizabeth II and is where she spends her summer holiday. It is widely thought to be the monarch's favourite residence. The first home at Balmoral was reportedly built in 1390, but the property didn't enter into the British royal family until 1852, when Prince Albert purchased the estate as a gift for his wife, Queen Victoria, who loved the Scottish countryside. However, when the residence was deemed too small, the royal couple built an additional castlethe one that still exists todayto fit their growing family. There are approximately 150 buildings on the estate, including Birkhall, formerly home to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and used now by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall for their summer holidays. 14.01.2022 Raglan Castle (Welsh: Castell Rhaglan) is a late medieval castle located just north of the village of Raglan in the county of Monmouthshire in south east Wales.... The modern castle dates from between the 15th and early 17th centuries, when the successive ruling families of the Herberts and the Somersets created a luxurious, fortified castle, complete with a large hexagonal keep, known as the Great Tower or the Yellow Tower of Gwent. Surrounded by parkland, water gardens and terraces, the castle was considered by contemporaries to be the equal of any other in England or Wales. See more

02.01.2022 City of Melbourne - Coat of Arms : notice in the four quarters: a fleece hanging from a red ring; a black bull standing on a hillock; a spouting whale swimming in the sea; and a three-masted ship in full-sail. Vires Acquirit Eundo translates as ‘We gather strength as we go’. The motto was taken from Virgil, Aeneid IV, 175. <3
