25.01.2022 Home Sweet Home is now offering a shared accommodation option for the travelling Ladies. This is a room upstairs in my personal home, and is designed for Ladies who are travelling and just need a comfy bed, and shower for an over night stop.
22.01.2022 I saw this photo on my time line and it gave me a chuckle to us Australians particularly us in the northern half of our beautiful country we don't blink an eyelid about all of our bugs and critters. I often have had guests from other countries freak out about our cute geckos and cockroaches imagine if they met some of our bigger ones....

21.01.2022 Who are our perfect guests? Great question, well at Home Sweet Home Mackay we love to host the workers who are coming to town. It is a basic accommodation and a great alternative to being stuck in a small motel room. It is spacious, you can cook your own meals, has free Wifi and comfy beds. So it is basic but it does have everything you need, its also well located, close to the city, airport, Paget etc....
20.01.2022 When you are heading away for work, it can become quite costly to feed yourself, at HSH Mackay there is a full size oven, microwave, fridge and cooking pots, pans and utensils. You are all set up to cook for yourself, saving you money and allowing you to eat your normal diet. There is also a free washing machine on-site which you can use. 19.01.2022 At Home Sweet Home Mackay we love to keep things natural, so our linens are washed in natural Laundry Powder which has no nasty chemicals in it. They are line dried in the NQ sun and put onto the bed fresh from the line.
18.01.2022 Last night we hosted a lovely couple from the Emerald Isle (Ireland). They had been out to Hardy Reef snorkeling and finding Nemo (they were so excited that they actually did find Nemo). They had then been on a light plane tour where they got to see the gorgeous Heart Reef and also beautiful Whitehaven Beach. ... It really is a pleasure to host lovely guests who have enjoyed our beautiful region.

17.01.2022 It really is lovely when you have guests who appreciate your home and give you 5 Star Reviews. This is a review that I just received from a recent guest. He was new to using the Airbnb platform for accommodation so it was lovely that he had a great first experience. Upon arriving Dee had welcomed me with open arms. She gave me a tour about the house and showed me around. The house was lovely. I had my own space which was lovely and quiet. Dee gave me a little present of baths salts which was amazing. Very relaxing weekend in a very safe environment. Would highly recommend to anyone.

13.01.2022 HSH Mackay is back in business after almost six months of quiet time. I have some workers here for the NBN and it is nice to be welcoming visitors again. They are here until the 17th and then we have some space available again.
13.01.2022 Lookout....... The water tower at Slade Point Lookout is getting a makeover, with local theme. Interesting fact is that I hosted the gentleman who had to survey this Tank and make sure it was structurally sound for this make over to go ahead, so I have been eagerly awaiting to see what they did.
