25.01.2022 Yesterday I was with my 6 year old at our local shops and he says to me super excitedly (and slightly puzzled ) Mummy, is it Halloween or is it Christmas time?! ...pointing at the Christmas decorations up... which were right next to the Halloween decorations. Has anyone else started their Christmas shopping yet? I usually do most of it online, in November...BUT with all the current Covid shipping delays, I’ve started it just a little bit earlier this year! ... 18.01.2022 How adorable is this metal doll bed!? My little one likes to tuck his softie into bed after he wakes up, dims the light and quietly closes the door so he doesn’t wake him... it’s the cutest thing ever! 15.01.2022 Scrolling through social media gives us the false impression that most people are leading their BEST lives and such happy positive people couldn't possibly be struggling in any way... BUT we all know that's not true! Today is a good reminder to check up on our friends and loved ones, particularly right now during these extremely challenging and unpredictable times AND hopefully it will continue to remind us to stay connected not just today, but everyday. Ment...al illness is invisible and can often affect even the most positive looking people. It's important to be genuine when reaching out to friends and family. From personal experience, it's definitely much easier to smile and say "yep, i'm fine" than to open up about how we're really feeling, particularly when we don't feel the sincerity in the person reaching out to us. If you haven't already, I'd highly encourage you to head to www.ruok.org.au for some great resources on how to keep the conversation going when someone you know says they're not ok. R U OK? One simple question could mean the world to someone who is struggling and could do so much more than you think. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener. 08.01.2022 Have you started teaching your little ones to save money and what age did you start? My 6 year old has asked to buy things whilst we’re out at the shops...I’ve told him he needs to start saving up some money and so he’s been putting every coin he gets (from grandparents mainly and occasionally as a reward) into this cute little cloud money box. He’s now started rummaging around the house and car to find coins to fill his money box. It’s adorable how he counts his coins though... instead of 10 cents, 20 cents etc... he’s been counting each and every coin as $1. Wish that was how it worked buddy!

01.01.2022 My 4 year old’s latest obsession - dominoes! These Make Me Iconic wooden dominoes is such a great little toy to throw into my bag on outings where I need him entertained. It comes included with a handy little drawstring bag and although the age recommendation is 6+, we play a simplified version of the game and he absolutely LOVES it! It’s educational, easy to play and mess-free.
