25.01.2022 Our friends House of BOK are throwing a spooky hot party down at Badlands this Friday. Fiery hot local lineup + Joey Labeija from NYC!

23.01.2022 This year's survey for gay and bisexual men in Western Australia is now open. Findings are used to guide HIV and sexual health programs.

23.01.2022 Basil Zempilas - Lord Mayor of Perth has today shown himself to be a danger to the health and wellbeing of the trans community. Because of his deplorable comments and in accordance with our policy against hate speech and transphobia, Basil Zempilas will not be welcome at events we have a hand in, including Rave Relief. It wouldn’t be Pride without trans folk and it will not be celebrated without them....

22.01.2022 "What is perhaps most shocking about the NGV show is the complete absence of images representing Haring’s response to HIV."

18.01.2022 Soooo... Who's keen for another Rave Relief to celebrate Pride this year?

17.01.2022 The numbers have been crunched! Rave Relief! PERTH PRIDE 2019 raised a whopping $19,000!! We can't believe it! ... These funds will be distributed between our nominated charities: AYLA and Black Rainbow. This will provide crisis accomodation for LGBTI folk facing sudden homelessness, support and programmes for First Nations LGBTI youth among many other crucial services. We will keep you updated on the donation process over the coming weeks. Since we completely exceeded our expectations with this fundraiser, we'd like to invite all attendees to suggest a charity or service which you would like to see become an additional recipient of a donation! (Link below) Now... RAVE RELIEF felt a HUGE success across the board. We are so grateful for all the smiles we saw and the love we felt all throughout the night. We would like to thank everyone who donated their time, energy and skills to making this event happen. The Rechabite for donating their venue as well as an additional $4500 to the charity bank!! Their staff, for keeping the venue running with well over 1000 guests, and for being so helpful and approachable throughout. The DJs: Rok Riley, Lucky Pete & Ben EM for keeping the room moving and vibing. Our performers: Liberty Jackson, Imogen, Bonnie Darko, Pussywillow (Jacinta) & Ash Traylia (Henry) for contributing so much fun and energy to the night. Intern Hook-Up for donating the wonderful artwork illustration. Tim Doldissen for producing our video trailer. Pubert Addams for taking dreamy photos. OUTinPerth & RTRFM 92.1 for helping us get the word out. Mardi, Ashley & Dan for their encouragement and pep talks. All the folk who came before us and who's work and missions have inspired us. And our friends and teams who supported us throughout the organisation process. And most of all... a big big thank you to EVERYONE who bought a ticket, told their friends and brought a hugely warm and loving energy to the event! You were all a part of something new, and something important. We're so excited for the future of Perth! Make sure to follow our page and tuned for more Pete & Cooper & all of Homopolitan Charity suggestions & event feedback: https://forms.gle/2dMhxBq8kG4mhXF88 Our next event: Homopolitan ~ December 27 P.S. Hit up our DMs with any nice footage or snaps captured at the event!

12.01.2022 A few Queer Fringe recommendations for this week! Anna Piper Scott: Queer & Present Danger // Fringe World 2020 [Comedy] Golden Gibbo nominee and fierce queen of the stand up scene is here to destroy myths about transgender people and make you cry-laugh while doing it. We saw this last night and highly recommend it to all queerbies!... Boy Name: Reconcile [Theatre / Performance Art] One of our favourite performance artists, BoyName, has gone from Homopolitan stage, to The Real Housewives of Northbridge, and now their own solo show which has been receiving 4.5 star reviews from all your fav queer publications. No one does gender, identity and sexuality exploration on stage the same way they do! Krishna Istha: Beast at Fringeworld [Comedy] A stand-up show by the transgender, trans-national, performance artist turned comedian, Krishna Istha. "Super smart politics meets some really silly props as Krishna dares themselves to some (pretty bent) straight talk at the stand-up mic: babysitting the woke way, is this McDonald's or Grindr?, and don't get them started on the toilets." Split Lip - Fringe World 2020 [Theatre] Ginva's solo show is back this year following the success of their Mâché series. "Enter the mind of this crazed cross-dresser, as she takes on these split personalities, through the medium of spoken word lip-syncing." Transmission: Queer Party [Dance / Participation] A counter-response to loss and the failure to transmit, with reference to the AIDS epidemic and the generational loss of the 80s and 90s. Transmission will be a cross-generational space to dance, interact, reflect and learn. One show only, this Saturday 25th. Produced by Janet Carter and soundtracked by Lucky Pete. Gender Blender Burlesque [Drag / Burlesque] This looks totally fab! 5 stars from OUTinPerth. Their final show is tonight, at Connections Nightclub. Many of these artists have told us they will usually reserve a few seats for people who cannot afford tickets. Feel welcome to write to their public pages or DM us for more info xx Any other recommendations you have for your queer peers feel free to drop links in the comments :) We haven't yet been through the whole catalogue and are definitely missing a lot of great ones. We'll also post another round of shows which start next week! Images: Anna Piper Scott, Boy Name, Krishna Istha.

01.01.2022 Ever wanted to march in the Perth Pride Parade but haven’t had the means to? We can possibly squeeze in a few more folk to our float if you’d like to join in the experience! You don’t have to be any particular age. ... You don’t have to be alternative. You can just be you! We welcome misfits as we welcome fit-ins, shyer folk as well as extroverts, people with disabilities - physical or mental, younger or mature. The core of our collective is driven by heart to encourage and elevate one another other; to facilitate healing from the sometimes-subtle scars most us carry from growing up in a society which condemned us for being different. Hit up our inbox ASAP if you’d like to march and we’ll do our best to include as many folk as we can fit. Will be a bonus if you’ve been to one of our events before (or have wanted to). The parade takes place this Saturday, in Northbridge at 8PM (for spectators).

01.01.2022 This is a very moving occasion to join in on: Stories and experiences are shared, offering perspective and opportunity for reflection
