Lender Mortgage Insurance premiums aren't refundable, if you're loan to value ratio is over 80% and you refinance there's a pretty good c...hance you'll have to pay another premium 2. Refinance based on the number of years left over the current loan term, resetting it to 30 years may save in monthly repayments but you'll end up paying more interest 3.
