25.01.2022 HoneyBee Hives are taking orders for nucleus hives now for collection early February 2021! Our apiary is chemical & disease-free & our bees are very calm, whilst being great layers & producers. We offer lifetime after sales phone support to guide you on your beekeeping journey. ... Our nucleus hives include 5 frames of brood, bees, & a newly-mated & marked queen, in a corflute transport box that you then transfer into a hive. These are $250 + gst each with 50% deposit required to secure your order, with the balance payable upon collection from Kremnos/Kungala (just south of Grafton) NSW. Please note: hives need to be collected after dark to ensure all foragers have returned home before being closed for transporting. 02.01.2022 We are reaching out to our wonderful community to help us find a new home. We’ve been given notice and need to relocate by the end March. Rentals are few and far between at the moment, with prices escalating rapidly, so we really need your help to find our new home. Ideally we are looking for something in the same area as we are now (Kremnos, NSW) but happy to consider anywhere within 2hrs north or south. Not too far inland though, as colder temperatures will impede our bee... production. We are open to all suggestions (as we are hoping to buy our own price of paradise in the not-too-distant future) including private rentals, caretaker positions, long term housesitting, providing bees for pollination, etc. Or vendor financing for purchasing. Our wish list includes: *Off grid *10+ acres *Surrounded by bush land, forests or national parks *Water source nearby *Storage sheds *Available mid-late March (we can relocate sooner if needed) *6-12 month lease with option to extend if needed *Not prone to winter frosts (also very bad for bees) We have 2 outdoor border collie pups and 2 indoor cats and a kazillion bees (anywhere from 50-200 hives), so our new home needs to be pet friendly and ideally away from commercial farming which can also be detrimental to our precious bees. We don’t need much in terms of accommodation but will need storage sheds if house is small as we create our balm and honey products from home and need adequate space for production and storage. We have excellent references and are perfect tenants. If you know of anything that might be suitable or have any suggestions whatsoever, please get in touch. Thank you in advance.
