21.01.2022 Handling beehives at night one can learn from the astronomers who use red light at night to preserve night vision. More importantly red light neither disturbs bees nor attracts them to the light source. If your head torch doesnt already have a red mode turn any non-fluro torch into a red night torch by cutting out and placing some intense red cellophane or several layers of it, if necessary, between the light source and the external panel or hermetically wrap it round the light source.

Einfach in der Anwendung und erprobt ber die vier Jahreszeiten in Brisbane, Queensland. Ich bin begeistert.

05.01.2022 I use Hive Doctor (HD) core flute nuc boxes to grow nucs from 3 to 5 frame nucs then transfer all frames to a Langstroth 10 full frame box with a "Les Brown" divider board to grow the nuc out to a 9 frame brood box. HD core flute nucs are light weight, versatile and ergonomically designed. Use them as a nuc, to carry frames with new foundation or stickies and when robbing I can carry 5 FFs of honey at a time in one or 5 half frames. I always keep at least one box with me all the time. Even with a 5 F nuc full of bees I can swing it round and carry it under my arm perched on one hip if necessary. www.hivedoctor.com

Wenn Wissenschaftler viele kleinen Bettenkufer fangen mchten, verwenden sie noch dazu Deckelmatten. Jedesmal, wenn sie den Bienenstock aufmachen, ernten sie Unmengen von kleinen Bettenkufer. Matten zu verwenden, wre fr mich ein Albtraum.
