21.01.2022 Hey, it's me, Gee! I promised I was going to do this whole introductory thing more often. Turns out, the last one was a year ago. ... Nonetheless, here's a few random things about me. - When I was young, I wanted to be a fashion designer. - I am totally a dog person (sorry cat lovers). - Exactly 5 years ago today, Omar and I packed up everything, sold our cars and went backpacking around North + South America for over 10 months. - I'm a Gemini - If the jams are right, I'll be the last one on the dance floor. - I'm originally from Sydney but moved to Melbourne when I was working FIFO and then later found myself in Tassie 3.5 years ago. - Tassie is now my forever home. So far, it's been a great journey and not without it's challenges. But it has always been a dream to work creatively and I love creating dream for my couples. 21.01.2022 Eloping has a really individual meaning for everyone. I have been asked as of late, 'How should I plan the Elopement to run on the day'? The truth is, is that there is no right or wrong way. There is no traditional script that you must follow. And it may seem foreign at first but once you start deciding that you can design your day however you would like it too, it becomes so much more freeing.... For some, it means having a very few of your closest friends or family with you. For others, it may mean just the two and a couple of witnesses. You may choose to have a first look or perhaps you prefer to get ready together and walk to your ceremony hand in hand. Some have opted for music and others have preferred not. And if you prefer a short 5 minute ceremony, heck you can do that too. The options are limitless and the options are YOURS. For Bitsy and Tobes, they had a first look at @macq01 and walked hand in hand to their ceremony spot. They then declared their heartfelt vows with their beautiful celebrant Merren before we all got to pop some champagne and share a celebatory glass with them straight after Not to mention a pit stop at @thestandard for some burger goodness. We spend the time building three concept designs for you to choose from. We use this by using the information you have provided us via our coffee or wine dates in person or over zoom for our mainlanders. We also use the visual inspiration you have provided us. ... Fun fact; we ask our couples to NOT provide any wedding photo inspiration but rather visuals that they love or inspires them through every day moments such as art, landscape + travel. You and your love will then spend a night with vino and choose one of the concepts that will determine your big day. 15.01.2022 Your Wedding day is about YOU. We mean it when we say, "there are no rules". There is no 'right' OR 'wrong' way to Plan and Design your dream wedding.... So long as it captures you and your love story, then that is all that matters. Sarah and Andy are the non-traditional type. They are outrageously fun + wild, lovers of indoor plants and not at all afraid break to break it down low on the dance floor. So we opted for a beautifully styled and heartfelt ceremony in the pines and an epic Persian rug dance floor. We had botanical themed floral design in mind and a full cocktail set-up under the marquee (no formal dining for these lovebirds). And our lovers had a beautifully designed sweetheart table to sit back and take it all in when taking a break from the dance floor (did you catch the Til Death neon btw?). These wild and beautiful lovers were amazing to work with. And their love celebration was Raw and Authentic. 12.01.2022 Thank you for your patience with me over this last week. I am slowly getting back to emails and inquiries. I had a minor surgery last week (not life threatening) and have been spending my time focusing on recovery, rest & restoration. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from our Modern Coastal Shoot at Flinders Island. I was able to work along a dear friend and incredible floral artist @foundinearth.... We foraged alot of the pieces to create this look; with @onislandtime having a lot of these treasures on hand at their doorsteps. The Stationery by the incredible @blossie.com.au was key to creating an earthy but modern feel to the table. And the Acrylic Signage from the amazing @shifteventstudio with a last minute makeshift stand (as the original stand didn't fit on the plane) all came together to create an incredible look, feel and experience. 03.01.2022 There are 564 individual, hand cut strands in our bespoke hanging installation. It took four days to complete this creative piece; from custom making the framing to attaching each individual strand into place. This, was definitely a labour of love.... Floral installations are amazing and right up there as a favourite, but if you feel like switching things up and doing it different; then opt to add this hanging install instead. Imagine hanging this over your bridal table or sweetheart table at your Intimate Wedding or Wild Elopement.
