25.01.2022 A huge thanks to @ilovelucylamps for these fabulous lampshades! Sadly these are not for me but boy they look nice on my buffet! @g33ns are you excited now?

25.01.2022 How glam is this coat? Vintage Christian Dior New York in vibrant yellow linen with this amazing tribal print. Im currently researching to find a bit more information that might shed some light on her. She has a slight tapestry jacket vibe, and Im thinking she sits at around 1968.... She will be one of the items in my upcoming story features on IGTV. Watch my feed for some classic fashion items and cool stories, plus tips about caring for your vintage fashion.

19.01.2022 Business up top, party down below.

18.01.2022 Last night I had a flashback to my childhood when I had a pair of these. I was just a kid, but my God I loved those shoes! My mum must have been pretty cool to buy these for me. I was probably only about 10 years old. Can I get these back in my life somehow?

18.01.2022 Love me some texture . This pretty combo is all about rich tones and patterns.

17.01.2022 Stay happy, dress snappy.

16.01.2022 Tooled leather- a touch of boho in a classic frame. This is a classic vintage Mexican tooled bag. The tooled leather tradition can be traced back to Spanish saddle decorations, but there are wonderful examples of decorated leather dating back to the Incas and Mayans.

15.01.2022 Orange leather is my jam. Also anything where orange is a feature

14.01.2022 Update on The Coat The unveiling after a specialist dry clean. She’s looking pretty great!

08.01.2022 Tuesday pimp vibes.

08.01.2022 Just been listening to this album for a bit of Y2K nostalgia. So many good songs on Room for Squares, but this line seems pretty apt right now for all of us Victorians. Feeling the tug to get out in the world again.

08.01.2022 Thrifted treasure. Todays find. This Alfred Shaheen cheongsam with deep side splits. Famous for popularising the Hawaiian shirt, Alfred Shaheen was an innovator in textile design. He pioneered the metallic dye, and created some of the most glamorous and unique fabric designs of the 50s and 60s. This would look amazing with some wide palazzo pants!

07.01.2022 Maxi coat dreams

07.01.2022 A little taste of late60s London. Featuring some of the greats- Biba and Bus Stop!

04.01.2022 Not much beats a navy blue scarf for classic style.

03.01.2022 Tie me up in pink

03.01.2022 Divine moss green wool blazer from Aussie great Covers. Omg I love this so much. The animal print faux fur embedded in the collar, the pleat through the back, the tapered waist, this jacket is too good. I think this would have one been part of a fabulous suit! Looks great with jeans or black pants, or with a little velvet skirt. It has a pretty small repair in the right arm which has been invisibly mended using the same fabric, its pretty well done and not very noticeable (...see video in comments) and doesnt detract from the beauty of this gorgeous jacket. Seen here on a size 10, its a little bit firm in the hips and waist and is labelled vintage size 10 with measurements bust 86cm, waist 66cm, hips 94cm, best fit on size 6-8. Priced at $35. Buy direct from Depop or DM me. #vintage #blazer #animalprint #tailored #wool

02.01.2022 Lockdown gives me the shirts!

02.01.2022 Just a wee post about body image. I don’t normally do big wordy posts like this, but I think there are souls out there who need to hear this today. It’s taken me all my life to feel comfortable in my own skin. As a younger person there would have been no way I would have the confidence to take a shot like this, even though my body was probably a lot better then. Years of body shaming and bullying through high school made me believe I had no right to show the world my true se...lf, so it got bottled up until I was brave enough to get out there. Turning 50 was a huge milestone in this voyage. Suddenly I realised I no longer cared what people thought of me, but overnight I became invisible as an ageing human. Over the last 10 years of being rejected for job applications, passed over, ignored in shops, and having assumptions made about me not being tech savvy, or losing my mental faculties, or being out of touch with trends, made me feel more than ever that I deserve to be visible. If I didn’t carve a vision for my life now and how I wanted to project myself, no one else was going to do it for me. Being older doesn’t mean we lose our ability to be authentic, sensual or valuable members of society. But this isn’t about ageism (well, maybe a little bit). It’s really about making your own statement and finding a sense of liberation in your own skin, loving what you are at all stages of life, whatever that is. We are beautiful humans, all of us. We all have aspects of our human shells that we don’t like, sometimes we can do something about them and sometimes we can’t. We can all work on our inner human though. The courage to really love yourself and let the world take a good look at you without fear is the most empowering thing we can experience. To know in yourself that you can do this because you accept and love yourself brings new confidence and purpose. People will think and say what they like, some will celebrate with you, and some will hate you for it. That’s okay-they are entitled to their opinion, but it can’t harm you, because you are grounded. Hope you can find and take some ground today. Love from my heart to yours.
