25.01.2022 Well.... this was not what I was expecting when I returned home today! The spring swarm! We have been busy ensuring the girls are thriving, re queening and splitting hives but this one got away from me I had my dates all in the diary but clearly the girls are ahead of me and Queen Lotti is well underway making baby bees! So these ladies have been returned to a new box and will start their own new family ... Being spring, there are plenty of bee swarms about. If you see one, please don’t harm it or call the pest control man! Contact a local keeper or your closest bee society and they will give you contact details for someone that can help give them a new home
