20.01.2022 ~~ Happy New Year Everyone ~~ We hope you all had a very relaxing & enjoyable break We would like to start this year off by sharing some exciting news... The Hellenic and Mawson Club have decided to choose us to make up and supply all their raffle meat trays from now on, which means you now have the chance to win a range of our fresh top quality meat when you go into their raffle draws each week ... The Burns Club have also decided to choose us, however they'll be doing things a little differently this year. They'll do raffles every Thurs, Fri and Sun and give away approx 14 $50 vouchers and 29 $35 vouchers, you'll then get to purchase anything in our shop to the value of these vouchers within 1 week of when the raffle was won. The Burns Club have already started giving away these vouchers and raffle trays will commence in February! Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and Happy Winning

19.01.2022 Here at Hoof n Hook we also Dry Age our meat, we dry age only the very best quality cuts These cuts below are 40 day dry aged cattleman's cutlets - if you've had the fortunate of tasting our dry aged beef then you will know just how remarkable the flavor really is! For those that are unsure of dry ageing, dry ageing is a traditional way of ageing meat by hanging it to dry for several weeks. It is a process which results with extraordinary tenderness and intense delicious fl...avour. The longer the meat is left to dry the more intense and tender the meat becomes. The most important thing to remember is NOT to overcook it, it should be cooked no more than medium rare, do not rest it for too long either as the dehydration process has removed much of the moisture already. If you would like any further tips or info on dry ageing meat then come on in and speak to Dean or give us a call so he can offer you the best advice
