22.01.2022 The Perfect Storm A horse has a very clear sence of pressure, mental, physical, emotional. By forcing one pressure apon another, to receive a result "Right this second" a perfect storm of miscommunication is brewing. ... Let's say you have a problem trailer loading... Or your horse is worried about a flag or tarp? How you approach, respond, reward is the most important part. Patience + Perseverance = Power. The horse is doing none of this too you! Let me repeat, its all feedback. By understanding this valuable information we begin to see it as a lack of understanding, balance, strength, coordination, or a gap in their skill set. The approach doesn't have to be firm, being gentle and slowing things down. 21.01.2022 Consider your Horse How does your horse feel, are you pushing them beyond their limits? Are you meeting their needs? Food, Friends, Feet, Care? To consider your horse successfully, you must have some understanding of their thoughts, feelings, motivations, and intentions.... We must then Determine whether or not our behavior should change based on that information. How's my approach? Is the horse learning, improving, understanding.. Adapting to individuals needs both horse and human can be challenging, for the most part it's about considering the owners needs to feel safe, and secure. And considering the horses needs to feel safe, and secure. Giving both horse and human the tools to face many bumps in the road ahead. Not everyone is ready for a new chapter, They have to actually want to be taught. And at the same time, they need to find themselves in an environment where the training is a blessing. We all need to be open to learning in life and considering all things, full stop.
