22.01.2022 Just home from Bemm and thought I’d update all. Plenty of fish to be had, although larger fish were hard to find. Our best fish were caught in 4-5’ of water be...tween the river mouth and Swan Lake mouth. Probably biting as aggressively as I can remember with rods almost going out the boat ! Entrance is open and moving a lot of water, which is very noticeable so heavier sinkers in the channel are a must Our largest fish was 41cm Great father and son time. Cheers

12.01.2022 East Gippsland Fishing Report - Thursday 30 July Lakes Entrance Whiting around The Islands taking pippies and worm. ... Lake Bunga Beach for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Offshore Six Mile Reef for morwong, pinkies and nanagi on pilchards. Lake Tyers Bream and perch are biting from past Cameron’s Arm up to Devil’s Hole and heading to Nowa Nowa using prawn and soft plastics. Tailor are about chasing prawn and hard-body lures. Mitchell River (Silt Jetties photo here by Greg Levin Droneviews / Gippsland Lakehouse Paynesville) Due to heavy rainfall best spots for bream near Two Bells and downstream to the river mouth. Best results on prawn, spider crab and live shrimp. Tambo River Good sized bream are at Punthouse Point, Marshells Flat and the Three Gums. Best results with fresh shrimp and pipi. Nicholson The Second Fence and towards the river mouth are best spots for bream on live shrimp, cut crab and prawn. Metung Shaving Point, Metung Jetty and Lake King Jetty are best for bream, mullet and some flathead, best bait shrimp, peeled prawn and crab. Paynesville In the system kingfish are cruising with lures for best results. Also try town jetties for mullet. Holland’s Landing Jones Bay, Blonde Bay and the Loch Sport jetties are best for bream and mullet on sandworm, soft shell, worm and peeled prawn. Marlo Due to rains this week river is high in the estuary system but surf beaches for salmon on pilchard and poppers and offshore is fishing well when you can get out. Bemm River The Entrance is now open and bream are in the Lakes system with soft plastics and worm as best baits. Tamboon Inlet Eagans Bank for mullet, bream and tailor. Best baits are prawn, soft plastics and worm. Mallacoota The Lake water is still muddy following this week’s rain. Try surf beach for salmon on Pilchards and poppers and offshore is producing as mixed bag if you can get out. Omeo High Country Closed Season.
