24.01.2022 Merry Christmas from Rein, me and all at Hooked On Rock. Thanks for your support during the one and only 2020! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a rockin’ and rollin’ New Year. See you on a dance floor somewhere soon.

24.01.2022 Happy Father's Day to all the Rockin' dads out there. We hope you have an excellent day. Cheers, Anne, Rein and all the Hooked On Rock gang.

23.01.2022 Ok people. I need your help. We are making our next lesson - Isolation Lesson No. 20 (14th September)- a partner dance night. We are looking for requests. They can be from the list of dances we have taught, or they may be ones, that you like to do that we haven't done. If they are ones we haven't done, please give me the dance name, song title and artist and I will try and find the music for you. Rein and I can watch you do them...ha, ha! Maybe you could send us a video of you doing it, then we could teach it next term! Hope you can help....cheers Anne and Rein

23.01.2022 GOOD NEWS Good afternoon everyone. We have been blown away by the reponse to our Christmas Dinner on Monday 14th December, 2020. Unfortunately the Royal Echange Hotel could only seat 50 people and we have 70 people wanting to come along! So we have changed the venue and start time:... New Venue: Traralgon Bowls Club, Liddiard Rd, Traralgon (basically opposite Harvey Norman), 6.30pm. This means that everyone who has contacted me can now come along and we can stay until we want to leave...the place closes at 11pm! They are opening just for us.... how good is that? I will contact all those on the emergency list to let them know. We must have definite numbers by Wednesday 2nd December. So if you are still looking to join us, we have about 30 seats left...as of right now. Hope this suits everyone. Can’t wait to see you all and have a chat. Cheers from a very happy Anne and Rein

21.01.2022 This Friday night.... James Bookman(Bookman101) playing and singing, from 7.30pm, then from 8.30pm, Rein and me (and possibly Alicia), dancing and playing some tunes for you to dance to - some group and partner dances as well. Join us for another fun night of ROCK AND ROLL!

21.01.2022 Yes that right. We are back, this Friday night. Join us if you dare.

20.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who has joined us during the isolation sessions, be it the weekly lessons or the Friday or Saturday night sessions. We appreciate your support and hope we got to meet you all some day...when we all get back to dancing. Keep safe and mask up. Thank you, Merry Christmas and keep Rockin’. Cheers from Anne, Rein, Alicia and Andrew.

19.01.2022 Albury Commercial Club 60th Anniversary show Tues Dec 1 on stage 1030am.I’m excited & nervous!

19.01.2022 Good news friends. All systems are GO, for the Hooked On Rock Christmas Break-up dinner, at the Royal Exchange Hotel, Princes’ Highway, Traralgon, Monday 14th December, 7pm. I have booked for 40 people, but we maybe able to have 50 and who knows, by December 14th, maybe we will be allowed to have more. So book your seat today and join us for a darn good chat and a lovely meal. It will be so fantastic to see you all and catch up with your news...not that we have been able to d...o much. I chose the 7pm time slot, as we can then sit and chat afterwards. If we had the earlier time, we would have had to leave straight after our meal. If you wish to book a seat, email or sms me, ASAP. So far, I have 15 book in... Looking forward to seeing you all... Cheers Anne and Rein 0409 502 914 [email protected] P.S. I know this cake isn’t a Christmas one, but I isn’t it amazing?

17.01.2022 A message for you. Don’t forget, Hooked On Rock are doing their group and partner dance session tonight from 7.30pm, on the Hooked On Rock - Traralgon page. It’s free and it’s fun. Join us. Cheers Anne and Rein

17.01.2022 Yes we are on tonight from 7.30pm. Revising the dances we did last week and adding a few new ones. We think you will really like Slow Rain. We learnt it from Billy and Nelda of Easybeat dance classes. The Red Hot Salsa partner dance is quite fun. See you all tonight. Don’t forget to share our page once we start tonight! Cheers Anne and Rein

17.01.2022 All the music is ready to go for our action-packed partner dance night tonight, from 7.30pm. Right here (on the Hooked On Rock - Traralgon Facebook page). There are a few Rein and I don't know, so we will be sitting back watching you (if only) dancing your little hearts out. Join us at 7.30pm and make sure you have your dance shoes on. Don't forget, if you don't have a partner, most of these dances you can do on your own. Not as much fun, but better than just sitting and watching. Cheers, Anne and Rein

12.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we confirm Gippy Rocks 2021 will be cancelled. We have been waiting until the last possible minute to make this decision, hoping t...hat we wouldn’t have too cancel but unfortunately current circumstances mean we are left with no choice. We feel incredibly lucky to have been the last unaffected Rock ‘n’ Roll event of 2020, we managed to sneak in just before Covid and we are incredibly grateful to all who attended and have supported us with Gippy Rocks to date! We hope you all stay safe and healthy!! And we look forward to hopefully returning to you in 2022

09.01.2022 Hi Rockers. We finally have the go ahead to start lessons....very exciting news indeed. So dust off your dance shoes, wash your sweat towels, fill up your drink bottles, limber up those arms and legs, and we will see you at the VRI Hall, Queens' Parade Traralgon, Monday 1st Feb 2021!! Lessons start at 7.45pm. $10 per person, $5 under 16. We do have some COVID safe rules we need to follow, so make sure you read them and follow our guidelines. We will: - Provide a COVID safe ...place to dance, to the best of our ability. - Provide hand sanitizer. - Allow for couples who do not wish to change partners, by having designated areas for progressing and non-progressing couples. - Wipe down down all surfaces, as required by the hall requirements - door handles, tables, chairs, etc... -Make sure that all people are notified of any infections (should they occur) as soon as we are aware. - Limit the number in the hall to 79, as per hall management requirements. - Make sure that there is no overlap between our class and the one beforehand, by starting 15 minutes later than in the past. Class Participants Are Asked To: -Check in with a QR code, on their mobile phones (If they do not have a mobile phone, then they must check in on someone else's phone. This is hall management requirement.). We will also have a sign in sheet, for my insurances purposes. -Be respectful of others space and try to maintain a safe distance from others (no hugging, kissing, shaking hands). - Bring their own water, sweat towels. - Not to make cups of tea/coffee/milo or enter the kitchen at all. (We suggest that they bring a thermos, if they can't do without a hot drink.) - Not to enter the hall until 7.30pm, so as not to come into contact with participants from the previous lesson. We hope that you understand that we are just trying to keep everyone safe, but run our lessons as we always have done. Hope to see you there and let's get dancing! Cheers Anne and Rein

02.01.2022 We are on again....

02.01.2022 Well, what a year it has been. One like we have never seen before and don't wish to see again. Lots of isolation, confusion and separation from family and friends. On the positive side: a good year for resting, doing house chores that have been put aside and time to reflect on what is important. Now New Year's Eve celebrations are being cancelled left, right and centre. Oh well, could be a lot worse. Thank goodness all our family and friends are well and able to celebrate another year of life. Keep well, keep positive and keep strong, my people, and look forward to catching up with you all in 2021. Best wishes from Anne and Rein x x
